  Superb hotel

  The hotel is situated at the edge of a beautiful mature beech and pine forest with many walking trails and in a quiet position. It is modern and the rooms very comfortable with en-suite bathroom. There is free wifi in reception, though it does not reach to the bedrooms. What made our visit so special was the staff who were very warm, friendly and helpful. The food they prepared was excellent and there was plenty of it too. Very good value for money and if you are visiting this region an excellent hotel to spend time in.

  Exceptional Hospitality

  I cannot commend this charming hotel highly enough. Nestled in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, we were given a very warm welcome and the friendly team couldn't do enough to help day or night! The atmosphere was inviting and offered a cosy retreat at the end of a busy day exploring the rich tapestry of the neighbouring countryside. All the meals were delicious, freshly prepared, and offered generous servings of traditional dishes to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. I am delighted to have found this lovely hotel and am already planning a return visit.

  A wonderful stay

  herr fichner and his staff were so helpful and accommodating towards us and our children. The rooms were spotless and the food well cooked and generous. The setting was idyllic surrounded by forest and woken up by birdsong

  Brilliant Hospitality

  Our choir stayed here last week and we couldn't have been better looked after. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The food was excellent and well presented. I would like to stay here again sometime.

  Would love to go back

  I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of May with a party of 40+ fellow choir members and loved ones. We took over the whole hotel for what was a memorable visit to this part of Germany, made even more memorable by the hospitality and service of Herr Fichtner and his staff. Nothing was too much trouble, especially given that we had some very early mornings and some very late nights - there was always food awaiting us. The breakfasts and evening meals were tasty, varied and plentiful. Rooms were spotlessly clean, as were the bar area and restaurant and witch room. Add to this the tranquillity and peacefulness of the beautiful Harz mountains, we were in a win/win situation. If the choir were to tour in this area in the future, we would definitely stay here again.
