  Great casino hotel , modern decor, location

  Harrahs in Metropolis is located downtown near all the Superman attractions. Rooms were nice, clean, modern. Staff and check in process was great. Good casino and restaurants. I felt safe staying here with all procedures in place.

  Nice place for the money

  I have not spent a lot of time gaming in Ceasers properties as I am a pretty loyal Mlife member. I was passing through and the miles had me land around this area so I checked and had a room 100% comped. The casino is actually really nice and so was the room. I was sincerely impressed with Harrahs Metropolis. I will be back.

  Elegant Accommodations

  We stayed at Harrah's Metropolis in November 2020 during the pandemic. We were concerned about any housekeeping employees entering our room because of Corona Virus but found their policy during the pandemic to be that employees do not enter rooms. The room was so exquisite - everything was first class. Really liked the spaciousness of the room and the separate room with a door for the toilet. Will definitely stay there again.

  Nice room but only so-so casino

  We recently spent two nights here. We had not been there in quite some time. The rooms are still nice and no problems there. The casino is quite small and with several machines closed due to Covid-distancing, not really much to play on. Cant drink any more either-which was a huge let down for us as we like to sip and play. Cant bring any beverages into the casino either from the room, etc. Wasnt crazy about having to show drivers license just to enter the place either. Machines were tight. Overall, not a very fun trip at all.

  Wow has this changed!

  We have stayed at this hotel, except for the last 2 years, several time on our way back from Florida. One year because they were flooded by the Ohio and another because they were not taking room reservations. We noticed that over the years, services were being eliminated, but still the rooms were good and the main restaurant was worth dining in. This year we were able to get a room and game at the same time. My wife and I were happy that things were back! Not so fast. Upon arrival, the circle drive to drop off our luggage was blocked off. In order to check in, we had to park in general parking and lug our luggage up steps. Parking was fairly full so we were about 3 rows back. No accommodations for hotel stays. Check in was OK, but in the room .... no coffee. They said that they would send it up and if we needed more than 2 cups to call for more. 2 hours after check in we still haven't seen the first arrival. I think next year we will book the Baymont next door, I think they will appreciate us more.
