Good for overnight stay onlyI had to find a place to stay after my flight to Chuuk was cancelled. The airline found this place for me. The shuttle picked me up at the airport 15min after I booked the room which was nice. It is about 10 min from the airport. They will also drop you off in the morning $5 each way. Good location for an in transit stop over. Restaurant next door, Mcdonalds across the street. Free wifi was fast. It was clean but rough around the edges.

Pleasant surpriseAfter reading numerous negative reviews, I was a bit concerned. But it turned out to be much better than expected. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was large and clean. I wanted to stay near Micronesia Mall. Harmon Loop is a 15 minute walk from the Mall, which is great. Cost U Less is a few minutes walk, McDonalds is across the road, plus there are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Desired a bit from the guestsI travel with my own towels ad stuff. Cleaning lady thought the towel was hotel´s. I complained that hotel issued one and mine are of completely different color. What followed, ......... let me not write l. Guests are to show bit more of, how do I put it, humility towards the staffs and management. I didn´t. Silly me! Plus side, room was clean!

Horrible LoopAfter being stranded in Guam because our connection flights have gotten cancelled over and over again, we decided to trade the uncomfortable chairs at the aiport for a real bed. Since there is no good wifi at the airport we decided to go the touristinformation to book a hotel. After 30 hours without sleep we just didnt feel like looking for a free wifi spot just to look up some hotels for one night. We told the employee at the information, that we dont care what the rate is. We just want a comfortable clean room with wifi and the hotel shouldnt be that far away from the airport. After he made some calls he said that a lot of hotels are full and dont have a room available. I suggested that it might be better if we check online by ourself and wanted to turn away from him as he said he can ask at Harmon Loop hotel. It is a little more expensive with 75$ a night but it is a nice hotel and they offer airportshuttle for 5$ per person for one way. We accepted and went outside to wait for the driver. We were picked up by the manager (I think) who demanded the transportation fee of 10$ dollars as soon as he had shut the doors. After giving him 20$ dollars and asking for the 10$ change he responded with broken english that we will get the change right away. We had to ask two more times for the money before we received our 10$. Irritaded by the whole situation we put it on the language barrier. When we arrived at the hotel it wasnt looking very inviting from neither the outside nor the inside. It felt like 40 degrees in the lobby and just to make sure what we have gotten ourselfs into we asked if we could see a room first before checking in. We could see that the people at the front desk didnt like that idea and they were discussing stuff in their mother tongue, their eyes still focused at us. Reluctantly he showed us the room. It was very heaten up and a little smelly but it had an ac and he told us that he has just turned it on. So it will be cool in notime. The rest of the room looked okay at first and so we went back to the frontdesk and continued the ckeck-in. While I was completing the formal stuff the woman asked me why we wanted to see the room first, in a tone as if I had insulted her personally. I explained to her that we are just tired and stressed out and we didnt want to offend her. She did not reply anything and gave us the key, the wifi password and the remote to the television. But not before demanding the 10$ dollar transportation fee for the next day. Coming back to the room we noticed, that it hasnt cooled down. We started looking for a way to control the ac but decided to ask the staff if they could help us. They told me that they only have one remote and if we want to change the settings of the ac we would have to talk to them. After asking several times to give me the remote just temporarilly so we could adjust everything, they gave in and handed the remote over. But only if I will bring it back right afterwards. Being back in the room we were lowering the temperature to 22 degrees hoping it would cool down. It took no longer than five minutes for the manager to knock on our door. He was coming for his remote... He tore it out of my hands as if he was Thanos and the remote was one of the infinty stones. He looked at the ac and mumbled angryly something like 22 is too cold. Way too cold. He turned around and left. More about the room itself: Con: - Smelly room - Stains on the carpet - Broken lamp - Shower is working more like a garden hose then a shower - Dirt or mold on the showercurtain - Not soundproof Pro: - cool trashbins - Decent wifi If you run a bad hotel you should at least be friendly and helpful to your guests. Sadly I did not have the chance to thank that employee at the information desk at the airport.
