  Typhoon is not a good enough reason for cancellation

  Unfortunately, I have not actually been able to stay here. Due to the super typhoon, my flight was cancelled and rescheduled. When contacting the hotel to ask for a cancellation, I was informed that the non-refundable policy remained in place. Thank you for being considerate. I will not book with you again.

  Dec Holiday Stay

  Booked a nights stay at Harbor View Hotel Keelung. Hotel was quite well located, close to the Keelung station, and near the harbour. Checkin was smooth, front desk people were friendly. Rooms are standard sized - deco looks old but it was alright. Just the carpets had a dirty look to them, other than that slept well. Rooms come with breakfast, nothing to shout about as its mostly standard Taiwanese fare - we just had coffee after taking breakfast outside nearby All in all for the price, its okay

  I only stayed 1 night, since I had already made a booking at another hotel.

  Harbor View Hotel No. 108 Xiao-2Rd., Keelung 200 Taiwan I came from the southern Philippines. I awoke at 5:00 & landed in Keelung at 22:30. Two flights & two buses to get here. I only stayed 1 night, since I had already made a booking at another hotel. Its right across from the harbor & a bus stop. The hotel is a bit expensive (for me), but I paid anyway. The room has; a hot water boiler with 2 coffee & tea, two 600ml of water, flat-screen TV unfortunately with NO USB connection (I thought all flat-screen TVs had an USB plug-in; I guess NOT), a small desk, a small chair, a closet to hang clothes in, 2 twin beds pushed together to make a queen size bed, free wi-fi & no mini-fridge & no safe. The bathroom has; tissue, cotton swabs, a razor, 2 toothbrushes/paste, 2 small & large towels & dispensers for liquid soap & shampoo. Late the next morning I tried to use the wi-fi. It was okay. There is a free breakfast. Unfortunately, its an Asian/Chinese breakfast. All I had was toast & orange juice.

  Only because of the location

  We stayed at this hotel on 7 - 14 Dec 2018. Things which we like of this hotel are : 1) The location is very excellent. It is walking distance from Keelung train station and city bus stop to many tourist spot in Keelung, near night market, near eateries, near early morning fish market, near shopping area and marina, near the Keelung Big sign board. 2) Cleanliness of the room. 3) Coffee machine in the breakfast lounge Things which we do not like from this hotel: 1) The bed is super hard 2) The front office ladies are not friendly, do things like robots, do not have information like locals, not customer service oriented. For example: after staying for 7 days in a row, we asked for late check out (2 pm), and just like a robot, the answer is simply NO. 3) No heater in the room in winter. The air con system is centralized, there is no way for customer to adjust the air con to function as heater nor cooler. Basically the air con was set just to blow air just like fan. 4) Breakfast menu is the same for 7 days. Everyday we eat the same thing.

  8 nights while visiting my husband who ports with Princess

  I stayed for 8 nights in Harbor View Hotel and I was pleasantly surprised by my longer than usual hotel stay. At first I was not 100% comfortable staying by myself for so many nights but within one day the hotel staff memorized my face so that as soon as I stepped through the glass doors they were ready with my room key and big smile. There is little to no English spoken but I felt a lot of respect. I dont like to have hotel staff in my room to clean every day because it creeps me out and luckily every day they asked if I wanted it cleaned so I was able to opt out every other day. Everything was clean, spacious, high quality bedding, TV, and bathroom. The free breakfast was also very good. Amazing view (although through small window) of the Harbor where I could enjoy watching the cruise ship arrive and depart. I would recommend for anyone staying in Keelung or wanting to explore the Northern Coast is Táiwn. Also there is very pleasant music built into the room that can be turned on or off!
