  very good value for a small, clean, modern room

  i stayed at the tielu street location green tree for approximately one week . in my opinion, this hotel is excellent value for money. it is certainly not luxurious and services are minimal , but the rooms are modern (though small) with fast internet. another problem was that the elevator - which is the smallest elevator i have ever seen - was broken for 3 of the days i was there. fortunately for me, i was only on the third floor so the walk up wasnt too difficult. the breakfast there however is very poor, and atleast in my time there, was not included in the room charge. i would suggest going outside for your breakfast meal. also, unless you have business at the university (h.i.t.) or other activities nearby, go to the zhongyang location as this area is quite dirty and uninteresting. in a nutshell, a nice but small room in a hotel with no amenities to speak of and limited services, but the price makes it a very good value.

  STAY AWAY @ ALL COST!

  Unless you have business close by.. STAY AWAY. your in the middle of nowhere and Harbin ghetto. The bed was rockhard (like all Chinese beds(. radiator that works 3-5 times a day. Shower runs hot then ice cold. YES, its cheap, but the staff is rude. WE prepaid for one week, and left after the first night. Taxi's will rarely pick up a foreigner in that area.. And theres really nothing to go see within walking distance. PLEASE reconsider. IBIS downtown is a tad more but easier to walk to everything you want that Harbin has to offer.

  I was comfortable here

  The room floor, bed, and bathroom were scrupulously clean - the bathroom was especially nice because it looked recently remodeled. The walls had black scuff marks on them for about three feet up from the wall. The wall under the window was inexplicably peeling - it looked like bare cement. All told, though, I was happy there. The desk staff was excellent. One woman, Betty (and I apologize for not knowing her Chinese name), personally walked me down to a neighborhood laundry service and picked up my laundry the next day, even though the hotel doesn't offer its own laundry service. The 8th floor room was sunny with a good view. I would stay again

  Clean hotel, fair price

  This was the second hotel I stayed in Harbin. The rooms are spacious and light filled. It is fairly clean. Specially the bed was thoroughly clean. I feel like Chinese hotels don't care much about the cleanliness of their room's floors, and you always find a number of hairs and stuff if you seek them. But anyway, very clean for the things I'd seen previously. I could tell the bathroom had been cleaned, although my toilet still smelt like pee. Also the bathroom kept getting smoky when people from the floor above smoked in the room over mine. It is very convenient if you are going to HIT and even it is close enough to the city centre, although I would not go back to the hotel very late if walking.
