  at the edge of the Lake

  situated right at the edge of Lake Chivero... a nice place to refresh and take a bought cruise in the refreshing waters of lake Chivero... you can do some fishing too. i loved the place. its far from the CBD and closer to nature. releaving all the pressure from business.

  weekend getaway

  the drive makes you feel away from the city in your own space.the staff were very helpful .the lakeview chalets were quite good but were not pleased with the lack of mosquito fumigation.the tv is downstairs in the lounge and though we wanted to watch we had to scamper to the mosquito net upstairs in bed.no direct dstv so you watch what the receptionist is basically watching.food is good though a tad expensive.no beer variety.they are close to good but not excellent as yet.i loved the resident zebra and the lake,the morning rays on the shore are to die for. will go back and hope to see a change for the better

  Family outing

  The Family Chalet was great. My children enjoyed the beach near the Lake Chivero. I wondered how the place could have water problems and yet they are situated right by the water source. There was a power cut on the weekend that we stayed there and no effort was made to connect a generator..... The food is pricey and not so delicious, we had to go to the city centre to buy takeaways.

  Great for a family outing

  I went there during the weekendw with my husband. its by far the best place by Lake Chivero. Although the infrastructure need a touch up, it is a good place to go wtih family, friends or on a lazy Sunday. Its also refereshing to see wildlife so close to the City (monkeys to be precise). However I feel it is not being marketed well, as the place used to always have activities. the drive from the main road is also very long, therefore you think twice about driving further down the road

  Dilapidated State

  How i loved this place for many years i have been visiting this place, but this time i was very very disappointed at which that state of the hotel is now, with only one guy there who is a student and 2 maintenance, not sure if there was a shef at all, our arrival at the places had many hopes, as we saw the lake, still with water, and we asked our rooms to our surprise the front doors had just been Vanished 1 days before our arrival, Ouch! how possible they vanished our rooms knowing that we were coming, and the smell was a bit hash on our guests and my other mind thought of leaving but we had already paid in advance one big mistake already tried to Call the manager he count come, we where told of the dinners times 19:00hrs, and the student advised us if we wanted to eat from our rooms and we agreed first but we then discovered the smelling Vanish, we then decided lets go to the dinning and the student who was not comfortable with us sitting at the dinning admitted that its okay we can sit in the dinning, 19:00hrs we were seated in the dinning 19:30 i was now worried for the worst, i then decided to check the guys cause there was no one in their kitchen no one near by we were me and my guests seating in the dinning, the shocking was that in the kitchen side it was dirty that showed that since it was being used maybe a month ago or it was never been cleaned or washed so they were using a house for preparing food, i almost vomited on what i saw in the dinning Kitchen, 20:00hrs no sign of either chef or student with food, 20:45 that's when we saw the student coming in with food and the meat was very cold, maybe it was prepared an hour ago and still the other things where not yet ready, and i asked do you have a microwave and the student say no we don't have, i couldn't eat much, the story is long but i was disappointed with this place and never ever to return until maybe there is a new management company who might be willing to change the situation around cause the site is perfect, but the situation now is not good for human habitation you will be disappointed we have now removed it from our hotel listings unfortunately. and never send your children to this place they will have typhoid or cholera cause the environment there is terrible below par. yours Joseph
