  Pet friendly cabin is in desperate need of refurbishment

  First impressions, the brewery and retreat looked weathered and could do with a refurbishment. The bar area had a good vibe and guests were enjoying themselves. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the pet friendly cabin which was in desperate need of refurbishment. The cabin appearance was run down, had a ripped door curtain and a window screen that kept falling out. The grass was overgrown in the courtyard. We backed onto an area used by guests and children, so if you plan to relax outside and read a book, keep in mind privacy is limited during the day/afternoon. The breakfast box was delicious with home-made bread and muesli. The first evening we booked dinner in the restaurant at a set price of $60 pp. We expressed our disappointment in our meals considering the price we paid and cancelled our NYE dinner reservation the following evening. Good for a short term stopover.

  Clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation

  We stayed in the self-contained Hidden House which was perfect for our family holiday with four bedrooms, large living and dining area and enclosed deck. It was wonderful being secluded amongst the boulders and gum trees but also only 5 mins drive to town. The accommodation was very clean and the breakfast hamper for the first morning was great with fresh bread, local apples and home-made muesli. We were lucky to be able to have the hot breakfast offered on Sundays in the restaurant as part of the deal - very generous. We liked having the option of meals in the restaurant and/or beer tastings on the premises as well as being able to self cater. Be prepared to go tech-free though as there is no mobile or wifi service in the accommodation. This can be accessed in the restaurant area.

  comfortable pet friendly accomodation

  Stayed for 2 nights with our dog in a pet friendly unit , had everything we needed and a yard for the dog also a fireplace for winter, great for short stays. Staff were all very friendly. Quiet and a great place to escape from it all

  Absolutely Loved Our Stay

  The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. We loved that we had breakfast included in our package. We stayed in a cute little cabin, it was so relaxing to sit on the verandah and watch the birds. The cabin was plenty big enough for 2 people and very comfy and clean. There is so much to do in Stanthorpe and so many great places to eat. We ate at the Brewery for dinner and the 3-course meal was outstanding. We will definitely be back for another visit soon !!

  Comfortable and affordable!

  Lovely, clean, private cabin which had everything we needed! We had a relaxing stay, sitting on the verandah and listening to the birds. Breakfast was included and it was delicious and adequate! Some very thoughtful touches, including free DVD hire at reception. The accommodation was very close to a lot of the Stanthorpe attractions!
