  feel like a queen!

  Service is super good, never had this experience in my life. They had 4 people 24 hours to serves us (8 people). Very big resort surrounded by many beautiful trees. Once inside our house we don`t even can find each other. For the hot spring, you just tell them what time you want your private hot spring, and they will reserve for you. Excellent food every meal. Thousands of dishes to choose from. None of us could finish. So many pretty little dishes showing on the table, every little detail is unforgettable. The staff is always ready to serve you, always smiling, never change their face. I dont believe how they can do that with less sleep than us and all days dressed 100% traditional Japanese while serving you.

  An elegant Japanese Ryokan

  We have stayed in many nice onsen ryokan in Japan, but this by far is the most elegant and private ryokan we have experienced. The service is impeccable, the gound is well maintained, the room is just vast - living, dinning, of course the bedroom. It is a great place to get away and relax, and I mean relax - no work. No wifi in the room so in order to get online, we have to go to the lobby area which is in another building. We definitely will go back again in the near future. So this is a complete get away from work and stress to relax, and enjoy the private onsen (hotspring) and gourmet Japanese Kaiseki dinner, this is the place.

  Beautiful, immaculate, delicious

  Immaculate rooms. Beautiful location and rooms. Food is delicious. So quiet and perfect for a getaway. Definitely worth it. The dinner is great fun with an abundant amount of local food, same with the local breakfast. The food is light full of fresh local fish. The baths are beautiful and layer out perfectly. The service is fantastic and you feel like you have your own private staff because the staff are that nice here.

  The best Ryokan you will ever stay in!

  Everything about Hanzuiryo is spectacular, First is the location, up in the mountains of the Unzen Amakusa National Park. You have your own special entrance down the driveway in a secluded style resort where the rooms are separate from the main building. When I say rooms, they are more like massive apartments with upstairs and downstairs areas for sleeping, dining and relaxing all set up in advance. From your arrival till your departure the staff members are there at you beck and call, effectively and efficiently going about their tasks in a professional and sometimes stealth manner. Any request isn`t at all a bother and they will go out of their way to achieve satisfaction. The dining experience is simply breathtaking with an endless supply for immaculately presented and mouthwatering speciality dishes. It is this Kaiseki (high end) dining experience that will stay with you for years to come and in my opinion the highlight of the stay. Finally the Onsens (Hot Springs) are numerous and indeed relaxing to the core. Public and private are available and all you have to do is let the staff know when and where you want to bathe and everything is taken care of for you. This place is as close to perfection as you will get and pure Japanese Omotenashi (Hospitality) 10 out of 10.
