  perfecto para mochileros y gente joven

  Todo muy limpio, muy cómodo. Está muy cerca del aeropuerto de Colombo y está todo pensado para hacer una estancia agradable y cómoda al viajero. Por la mañana hay café, té y plátanos gratis. Aunque algunas habitaciones tienen el baño fuera están muy bien y muy limpios.

  A warning to other female travellers

  I had a disturbing incident on Saturday 8th February with a staff member at Negombo Airport Hangover Hostel. The staff member who was working has once before, as well as this occasion, made me feel uncomfortable when checking me into the unoccupied female dorm room by standing unnecessarily too close to me and for too long. After showing me to my dorm bed this time I asked if my bed selection could be changed. The staff member said it could be changed and left the room to change the key card. As I was already wary of his behaviour, I chose to make a tea in the kitchen so I wasnt alone in the room when he returned with the new keycard. I watched from the kitchen as the staff member returned into the room, and shut the door behind him. I then sat on the bench with my tea waiting for him to exit the room, but he didnt. He proceeded to stay hiding behind the door in the room for 5 minutes. I would hope there is recorded CCTV in the hallway/common area that can confirm this. I assume he thought I was in the bathroom and was waiting for me to exit into the room. Male staff members should not be in a female dorm room to begin with, they ESPECIALLY should not close the door behind them when they enter, and there was absolutely NO reason for him to stay in there for 5 minutes waiting for me. When I approached the door to ask him what he was doing I could see through the crack in the door that he was hiding behind there and was startled when I quickly opened the door onto his back. He had no explanation other than that he was looking for me behind the door. My assumption is he was going to try his luck and this is so far from ok and I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

  It was nice experience overall Ruchinta Manager was good guy and very helpful Clean and hygienic Good place to hang out with friends Female friendly Value for money unstuffy unforgettable memories location is not bad

  Great stay for the last night in Sri Lanka

  Stayed at Hangover Hostels for my last night befor catching a flight the next morning. Hospitality was great! As it was not busy they could give me an upgrade to a female dorm for the same price which is always nice. The manager Ruchintha was very friendly and organized an affordable tuc tuc to the airport for me. Breakfast was included and very tasty. We had good conversations while watching the sunset on the roof top terrace in the evening. I can highly recommend this hostel. Left a good last impression about Sri Lankan hospitality before leaving the country.

  Easy access to airport

  Booked the female dorm for a night before an early airport run. Its' fine and does what it says on the tin. The hostel was quiet so no atmosphere but not required for my stay. The dorm a little bit tired but sheets clean and a large lockable locker which was helpful as could throw the backpack in when I went for food. Didn't look at all like the pics posted below but I only saw the one dorm. Local food places across the road and the pick up was well organised so no complaints. Rating based on decor really.
