  Old facilities but clean and good value

  We went there in June, not in high season because the weather was changing and resulting in rain some times. The service was very good , the front officer even sent us to our room and gave informations about the hotel. Even though the food in dinner buffet is not the same in the web site but acceptable . Oita rice is soooo delicious . The price also included drinks ( beer , wine, sake,soft drinks ). I ate a lot of Mentaiko from breakfast buffet ! We stayed in Japanese style room ( 6 people) , the mattress is not thick enough but still sleep able. You can soak yourself in bathtub in your own room and if you 're get used to public bath, public onzen baths are recommended. I recommended sea building for stay.

  Good Onsen Hotel

  Stayed here for one night in Golden Week. Found the price to be very reasonable considering it was the Saturday of Golden Week. Should probably be the most expensive day of the year. Booked through Jalan.net. Stayed in Umi kan. Staff were very helpful when we dropped our bags off early. Checked into our room with a staff member to explain hotel facilities. We booked a limited view room however found the partial view of the ocean and mountain very nice and above what we were expecting. If this is the partial view the full view rooms must be very nice! Loved the indoor and outdoor onsen. Particularly the indoor with the ocean view. Amenities in onsen were excellent. Dinner and breakfast was buffet and food was decent but not amazing. Overall I felt the service, rooms and baths were good value and I would come back if I ever have the pleasure of being in Beppu again. Thank you

  Don't expect too much

  Ten of us booked three Japanese style rooms (3+3+4) and stayed for one night during Aug, 2014. The dinner was super disappointing. We got directed to a large room in one big round table with no view at all. I saw there were other dining places in different floors. Maybe our plan was just the cheapest. The dinner was all you can eat. However, it looked like Chinese food more than Japanese food. There were only very little sashimi left when we got in and they didn't refill them. The outdoor onsen (in the roof) was a tiny one. You actually can only see the wall when you get in. The breakfast was a bit better. You can see the ocean while having breakfast. The room is old. Should have stayed in other hotel.

  Super Reasonabel Price Onsen Hotel

  We took advantage of the visit Kyushu special campaign that gave up to 70% discount. It made the price that includes breakfast and dinner of this hotel super cheap. So we didn't expect too much. However, it turned out to be one of the best price performance Onsen hotel I have ever stayed and only 7-8 minutes walk from the sea side exit of Beppu train station. The 1st night dinner was a specially served dinner set by a waiter with lots of delicious Japanese cuisine. The 2nd night was a buffet with multiple choices. Buffet breakfast was also great. The only downside is probably its roof top Onsen that is very small but the view of the ocean can probably offset it.

  Hotel acogedor con un servicio muy agradable

  Este hotel tiene unas vistas increíbles al mar y a las montañas. Mi habitación era de estilo "mixto": con cama (occidental) pero con un salón de tatami (estilo japonés), muy cómodo y de lo mejor para disfrutar de los dos estilos en una misma habitación. Tienen 2 ONSEN (aguas termales): una exterior en lo alto del edificio, al que no he ido, y uno interior que tiene unas vistas ESPECTACULARES al mar, todo acristalado y bastante grande. El desayuno muy rico, también en lo alto del edificio con vistas hacia el mar. El sitio es tranquilo y muy acogedor, con una atención exquisita del personal del hotel. MUY BIEN ubicado, junto a la estación de tren de Beppu y al lado de la zona céntrica: con numerosos restaurantes, centro comerciales, paseo marítimo.... Totalmente recomendado si vais a visitar Beppu...!!
