    Almost 5 stars

Room: awesome, huge bathroom. Lots of space and super clean. Get used to the extreme air conditioning. Breakfast: I liked it, lots of choice. Wi-Fi: probably the worst part, since as you move from one place to the other you always have to reconnect it and this doesn't happen automatically. Hope they fix it. Pool: nice and big, bring a swimming cap or you'll have to pay 199 yuans (26!!!) for it. Gym: nice. Other: they say you can change your money there but they usually finish it by 7:30 AM. You can't count on this service unless you get to the reception really early. By the way, most of the people I talked to do not properly understand English, but hey that's China, get used to it. Overall a pretty enjoyable experience. Have a nice trip!

    Disappointed

Room was modern, quiet, and comfy, unfortunately the management was poor, we checked in the hotel at 10pm and were looking for food, all restaurants in the hotel were closed and couldn't get through room service; same thing happened again next afternoon. A local friend left a gift at front desk and I forgot to pick it up, so I called the hotel and ask them to send it to my next destination ... it never came. So-so breakfast, indoor swimming pool looks quite dirty. The best part of this hotel to me is there is a Starbucks downstairs.

Misleading Pricing - Nice Development But Really Poor Management

First impression was great. Good location. Beautiful new hotel. Adjacent mall has a nice variety of restaurants. Unfortunately we checked out and were told that the nightly fee was more than we were initially told..... We requested a quote for two nights and received the fee. We were told the fee was for two nights, including breakfast. When checking out we learned that the price was for one night; our expense was double what we expected. Our business connections have corporate rates with the Marriott group. Next time we will go with a hotel group that can be trusted.

    Awful customer service

Ill get the positives out of the way first: the rooms are decent with comfortable beds, and the breakfast buffet is quite good. Now the negatives... customer service is appalling here. Its supposed to be a freaking five star hotel so make sure there is always at least one person on duty who speaks English. The amount of times we were met with bafflement at simple requests over the course of twelve days was ridiculous. Some of the staff are just plain rude, and for this I reserve a special mention for the pair of buffoons on duty at the Rye bar on the fifth floor. This is meant to provide a place to chill and socialise with friends and colleagues and its hours of closing are billed as midnight. Well, that depends on whether Dumb or Dumber feels like knocking off early. Once we were told he wouldnt serve us a last drink at 11.30 and another time he said the place was shut at 10.30. And another time we observed him casually pour a half shot instead of a full shot. For this disgrace they add 15% service charge. Pull the other one lads! Then theres the sauna/fitness centre. Ive never encountered a hotel of this supposed class where staff dont at least smile or say hello when you enter. Instead theres a totally disinterested staff member playing games on her phone. Talking of fitness centre: no towels provided and the water fountain doesnt work. I could go on with some more anecdotes but you get the idea: this hotel suffers from poor management and shoddy staff. Basically its a turd thats been polished and I would not recommend it for a longer stay unless you want to feel utterly depressed and confine yourself to your room.

    What a joke!

To begin with, this is not a 5 star hotel. Nobody from the staff speaks English, so if you have a problem, probably, you'll never be able to sort it out, unless you are willing to waste your time and communicate with them via translation apps. Some of them try to speak English, but they still hardly understand anything you say. Everything closes at 22.00 and even the bar on the 5th floor which is supposed to be open until 00:00 (at least that's what the sign at the entrance suggests) is often closed two hours before midnight. Normally they close it whenever the batender decides he is done for the day. Drinks are super expensive, even for Europe, and they charge you 15% extra for service. Wifi is another joke. Works only in your room and even in that case the connection is very poor. Rooms are ok, the bed and pillows are really comfortable. The breakfast is more or less fine, but only if you decide to have it early enough. If you are there at 9, the food is cold and trays don't get refilled. Apart from that, some hotel areas smell really bad... Hugely disappointed with the experience. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
