    Pesima experiencia. Duplicaron cargo estadía prepagada. Cuidado!

    El hotel está bien en general pero muy alejado. No la mejor ubicación para Universidad u hospitales de Tyler. Pre pagamos estadia pero al 2do dia vemos otro cargo x el total de aprox usd400 en Visa. Voy al front desk con copias de comprobantes y la manager B. Barnes se presenta sin mirarme ni trsponer mi saludo, le enseña a una empleada q era lo q debieron hacer y ni siquiera se disculpa x el error !!! Cuando le pregunto en cuanto tiempo se revertirá el cargo me dice q yo hable con mi Banco. Eso fue hace 3 dias. Impresentable, maleducada e inepta para trato con huéspedes. Los empleados del front desk nuevos y sin entrenamiento. Hamton Inn ha caido en picada, hay muchos hoteles incluso con tarifas mas bajas y mejores servicios.

    Quick unexpected trip made great!

    We heard from friends that finding a good hotel in Tyler TX might be an issue - especially on short notice. But, we had good experiences with Hampton Inn & Suites at other locations. So, we booked at this hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised and happy with the hotel location - in a new shopping district. The rooms were perfectly clean and the staff were the best! The hotel is very near very good restaurants. We could not have done any better! Our compliments!

    Not compliance with COVID-19 code

    For our recent stay at the Hampton Inn South Tyler was a total disappointment especially during this uncertain time. The front desks and the house keeping did not have face coverings, we were very surprised as Texas is still undergoing high numbers of COVID-19 cases. Also, there were urine staines on the toilet seat, I had to clean with my own disinfecting wipes for this. Our recent stay was a total disappointment.

    NOT COVID COMPLIANT, STAFF DO NOT WEAR MASKS

    Hello, if COVID isn't real and an masks are an "infringement" this is not the review for you. Staff are not wearing masks and do not enforce other patrons either. "CeCe" one of their house keepers was walking around saying hi without a mask across the lobby and also saw her on my floor shortly after. Hotel is nice, in a good area but the blatant disregard for the law and the safety of others was staggering. I checked out and have moved to another hotel in Tyler. I called around to ensure other hotels weren't behaving in the same way, I recommend looking at the Best Western on Broadway. It's older, but half the price and twice as clean. Staff are polite and enforce masks and social distancing. I WOULD NOT stay at this hotel again.

    Reverse Discrimination

    Besides not having any maid service or food, the Hampton Inn had me and my elderly husband removed from their hotel when the roads were not clear to travel on. I was the victim of three harassment issues where I could have been attacked. The first situation involved children running up and down the hallways for hours on end. When I said something, the father, who resembled Marv on Home Alone, hollered Hey! Dont talk to my daughter that way! He got up in my face. In the second incident, some young people were in sitting front in a white pickup truck. I made eye contact and the driver followed me to my car yelling What are you looking at? I just wanted to make eye contact to make sure I was not run over. I nearly broke my neck on the ice running from them. They drove around to the rear of my car where I was retrieving my laundry. They kept yelling things at me and I called 911. I was quite traumatized. The third incident involved a plus sized woman who resembled Madea. She was nice at first, but when I was removing my clothes from the dryer, she yelled at me and told me I was not to fold my towels one by one and she had no time to wait for me. I guess her blood sugar dropped. A regular Jekyll/Hyde case. I gathered up my towels and got out of her way. I dropped a couple on the floor, but I escaped with my life. She was massively obese. The front desk was too afraid to confront her and they called the police and had me removed. After all I had been through, going in the ditch, falling on ice twice and my senile husband falling. What a day! Dont Tyler police have some real criminals to round up? I surrendered my plastic knife and left. Luckily, we didnt have a wreck.
