Will not stay again sadlyDiamond members and very disappointed. Cons: No one enforced masks. People came up to desk and even then werent simply asked to wear a mask. Breakfast. Worst part. Goes until 10am. We got there at 9:10 and there were four pieces of bacon. The ice under the milk was completely gone and milk was room temperature. Self service. Worked came out and just cleaned. Didnt even ask if we wanted anything just ignored us. Second day was a tiny bit better since we went earlier but food was not fresh. So loud. Cant control guests of course (teens riding around on their hoverboards). Must stay on fourth floor. We were bottom floor and it was horribly loud above us. Balcony is tree view only and bottom floor people walk right by your room. Pros. Gentleman at desk was only staff helpful. Brought out the hot water when we were looking for tea after a cold day. Bikes can be rented at desk. South loop is across street. Pool is nice.

Problem after problemCheck in was very slow. I went with friends and we had two rooms. I split my room cost with my friend. This seemed to cause confusion since we did not want to put the room charge in the cc we used to reserve the room. We each gave her our cc so we could each pay half which was around $73 each. It took her so long to figure it out that I checked my card balance when we got to the room. They charged my card two times and my friends card 3times. The charges were all for different amounts and were pending so I figured they would fall off the account when the computers updated overnight. They did not disappear so we decided to pay cash a check out. This confuse the checkout girl even more. My half with $73.09 and I gave the girl $80 and told her I was paying my half of the charge. She looked at me and asked if I wanted to pay $80 toward the bill. They want explain I was paying half which is 73.09. Then I went on to tell her my card of been charged twice which she explained me it was not then I showed her my bank account where it showed it was twice and she just looked at me blankly and didnt know what the hell to do. She took off one of the charges one was still on. Meanwhile three charges of my friends account all disappeared. I got home tonight thinking the charges of fall off because theyre just still pending and now theyve charged my credit card after Ive already paid cash. When I called the front desk I have to speak to the manager if theres no manager available and no one there knows how to take the charges off my credit card. my other friend you had a separate room went up to her room and broke the seal of cleanliness and when she pulled back the sheets on the bed there was an AirPod earbud case made up into the bed. She went downstairs and the girls desks at all upgrade both rooms to suites at no extra charge for the inconvenience. We got our new room keys go back up exact same rooms no upgrade. Now I feel like Ive been lied to and Ive been charged twice now the charges are still pending and hopefully not gonna go through. The whole situation was bad. the customer service was bad. I will never go there again.

Guess Services is amazing!!!Desha was amazing! Nice and so helpful!!! Here for my sisters 50th birthday, and needed a good weekend away from work!! First time on Jekyll and I believe it will be great staying here!! Hampton Inn always comes through!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEYI pre-checked in and chose my room. It stated check-in was 4pm, so my family and I arrived at 4:15pm assuming we could get into our room since it was after check in time. I was informed at the desk that our room was not ready , so I verified my phone number and she said that someone would call me when it was ready. My infant son was hungry so I had to sit in the lobby with all of my belongings on a roll cart and breast feed him. At 5:30pm I went back to the desk to see how much longer it would be when I was told our room was still not ready. The manager told me that the room we had chosen the previous people decided to stay, so that room was not available and if he had had my number he would have called me. Now mind you I verified my phone number when I arrived! So we were offered a first floor room with no real balcony looking at a tree. We accepted since we had sat in a car for 10 hours and had already waited another almost an hour and a half to check in. Upon entering our room there was no seal on the door as stated, the bathroom trash was not changed (there was feminine hygiene product in it) and the towels and washcloths had already been used. I went to the desk to let them know and they said they would send their housekeeping manger to my room. I am presently standing in the hall way waiting, which I have been for quit sometime now, for the housekeeping manager, because my infant son is asleep and I did not want someone knocking and waking him up. There is no guest services here, nor any sanitation during a pandemic,so you are better off staying somewhere else. I hope no other family has to endure what we have today.

Our Happy PlaceWe are frequent stayers at this property. We love the Island and the Hampton Inn. The property is clean and well cared for, staff is welcoming and attentive. There is a lovely sitting area near the zero entry pool and an accessible lift into the hot tub. During COVID I know the hotels have been challenged with limited staffing, we haven't noticed any problems at the property. While you cannot see the ocean from the property, its a lovely walk on the boardwalk through the gnarled oak trees, that in itself is lovely. The beach is wide and clean (compared to some beaches) and never really crowded. We find sand dollars! We come for the beach and the peace and quiet of the Island, just to relax and destress. The Hampton is a short drive from everything, several of our friends are booking the Hampton and enjoying the Island because we love it so much! The property also takes pets so we are able to take our dogs along, walk the beach, let them play in the water and explore. There is also a City Park right across the parking lot for more walks and we have seen the Island deer.
