  Excelente

  Hotel nuevo, excelente ubicación ya que estás muy cerca del pequeo pueblo de solvang. El precio de regular a caro , pero la vale la pena hospedarse ahí. Recomiendo reservar este hotel con mucho tiempo de anticipación ya que por encontrarse cerca de lugares turísticos, casi siempre está lleno.

  Clean hotel, but lots of ants!!!!

  The room was pretty clean. I found someone else's hair clip under the bed ruffle and the sofa bed did not have clean sheets on it, or they had been there so long that crumbs from previous guests collected there. The breakfast buffet was closed due to covid and there was a lunch sack breakfast with an apple, water, crumb cake and graham cracker cereal bar. The staff was nice and the grounds were clean and nice, but there are ants! Especially in the parking lot. I arrived later afternoon on Friday and by the next morning there were ants in my car. We brought a picnic lunch to a winery. We forgot to remove the bag immediately when we got back and when we went to get it a few hours later it was covered with ants. By the time I was driving home on Sunday afternoon I was picking ants of me the whole time and when I unpacked the cooler and food bag were swarming with ants. Not very pleasant.

  Relaxing weekend

  My daughter and I stayed here for the weekend while visiting the central coast. Rooms were clean and AC worked well since it was very hot that weekend. Gym was closed, no breakfast buffet available but the pool was open. They do offer a to-go bag with water, fruit, crumb cake & cereal bar. The lovely dining room was off limits but there was a lot of outdoor seating available. Location was great as it was right off the freeway but far enough that you couldn't hear the cars. Lots of places to eat close by and Solvang just up the road. Initially when you check in you need to get buzzed in, once you get your room key you can just let yourself in. They have lots of parking available also. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

  Comfortable room but pricey with way less amenities during COVID

  The cleanliness and pandemic preparation was really good; my room was spotless. However, I had to wait over an hour after check-in time to be able to go to my room. The to-go breakfast was in no way comparable to the buffet I am used to at Hampton Inn's (the apple was spoiled and the processed breakfast items were really unhealthy). The front staff was very nice about everything, however. But at this price point the negative points made one wonder if it's worth it. It is conveniently located if you want to explore Solvang and go wine tasting; easy on and off the freeway. Free parking and Wi-Fi. I feel that Hilton should comp guests somehow during COVID if they would like to maintain customer loyalty.

  Family Meet Up during COVID

  We stayed here in mid-November 2020 and I think that the hotel is doing a good job. closures/covid impacts: - The hot tub was closed - The breakfast was more limited than usual, but they did have some hot options like scrambled eggs & sausage. They also had juice, bagels & cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, & fruit. - No daily housekeeping so you leave your trash can in the hall if you want it taken out and you call the front desk if you need anything. Rooms are sanitized between guests. I didn't see a lot of trash in the hall given the situation. pros (aside from those found in other reviews): + While Solvang was super-crowded in town, the Hampton Inn Buellton was quiet and clean. + Guests mainly respected eachothers' space. + The pool was open and heated. We were the only ones to use it from what I could tell. + There are several outdoor sitting areas and 1-2 fire pits (fire pits were turned on at night) as well. These are great if you want to meet up with some friends or family and stay outside. You could definitely dine alfresco, just bring a jacket. It gets cold quickly. + There was a Firestone Brewery within a very short walk offering takeout or patio dining (with a fireplace). + The room was clean and spacious and had mini fridge & microwave + Free parking was plentiful. + coffee & cocoa available in the lobby (seemed like 24 hrs?)
