  I am a happy girl, because I had a happy stay!

  Our room layout was very convenient. My husband and I came to the Hampton Inn for a business trip. We both had work to do on our laptops. The desk was in the middle of the room so we could both be working at the same time at the desk. We also love to play games. The desk being positioned in the middle of the room allowed us to play against each other and have it also serve as a dining room table when we ordered pizza. I love the roomy dressing room separate from the bathroom/shower. I loved the breakfast. What made the breakfast extra great was Linda. Linda was on staff and super helpful and friendly. She offered to make my waffle and bring it out to me while I ate the rest of my meal. Talk about going above and beyond. The whole hotel was decorated beautifully. I was taking pictures of the decorations so I could use some of the ideas myself in my home and at church. The whole hotel was very organized clean and manned with friendly helpful staff. I love the HAPPY messages throughout the hotel.! I would definitely stay here again.

  Quality hotel

  Nice, clean rooms with comfy breakfast area. Convenient to interstate and Des Moines area. Staff is friendly and professional. Have stayed here a few times and have been pleased each time. Great breakfast items.

  Great place Great price

  This was a great, clean hotel to stay at a great price. The rooms were nice size. Our room was very clean and it was quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very good - there wasn't a large space to eat, but we were able to find a table.

  Not clean, No free wifi

  Floss from last guest in bathroom. Amazing that can't even clean to basic cleanliness standards let alone virus control standards. If they can't get the obvious then they certainly didn't disinfect. No free wifi although advertised to have it. Stay Elsewhere!

  Newer Hotel on the Outskirts of DM

  I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Altoona for one night for business. The hotel is on the outskirts of Des Moines, it appeared to be fairly new and modern. Upon check in, I felt like I was bothering the desk agent by asking questions about the hotel and they area as she seemed put off. The room was nice and spacious however the bed was a tad firm for my taste. The shower could have used more pressure and removal of the black hair squarely in the middle of the shower floor. The room had a refrigerator and microwave which is pretty standard in 2020. The hotel is about 5 to 10 minutes from food and the outlet mall. Would I stay at the Hampton Inn in Altoona again? Sure.
