Family visitThe only negative thing about our stay was the interaction with the staff that assists with the breakfast. There was a premium with the waffle machine and the staff conistently walked around us as if everything was ok.

Spotless HotelThis was my first hotel stay since the start of Covid-19 pandemic so I was anxious about the cleanliness of the hotel. I was impressed. Each room is sealed after being cleaned and disinfected. You have to break the seal to enter the room. The room, bathroom and shower were spotless. It had a fresh smell and had obviously been given extra care as advertised. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Breakfast was a "to go" bag which had a muffin, water, granola bar and apple. It was fine. Hot breakfasts were coming back by the end of June.

nice place, but nicer if things workedI like Hampton Inns and the price was reasonable, but when I booked there was no indication that nothing there actually worked. Traveling with a familys worth of bags, I was told they didnt have any rooms except the third floor...and that the elevators were out. And the wifi. And a whole bunch of other things. The woman at the desk said they had a guest trapped on the fourth floor that hadnt been able to leave because of the elevatorsthis was her attempt to reassure me that my situation wasnt so bad! (Which was true, I guess after all the driving I needed the exercise of carrying three loads of bags up to the third floor).

Id stay again...after COVIDId stay again but after COVID. Heres why. Upon check-in I was told that due to COVID, housekeeping was only offered upon request. Cool...no big deal. On day 4 when leaving for the day I stopped to ask for housekeeping while I was out for the day. I was told that housekeeping wasnt offered until checkout but when I got back that evening I could call the front desk and ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. When I got back that evening I did just that. The gentleman that answered the phone said he would be right up. An hour later no one came. I went down and got my own towels and toilet paper from the front desk. Was the hotel clean? Yes. Pleasant staff? Yes. Price reflected the change in service? No. Towels and toilet paper (only housekeeping left) brought to the room upon request? No. That combined with the sense of security being nit that important. I dont think Id stay here again until after COVID. All but two times I entered the hotel and not one person was at the desk, they instead stay in the back office. Twice at the front desk I stood before saying hello to get their attention. Gotta step it up or cut prices. If travelers want a low-priced stay with zero service there are better options. This was a high-priced stay with lacking service.

What is in the price?The hotel was only 3 years old and had nice lobby and dining area. Also appreciated it being local in walking distance of place to eat. However, at check-in I was told the wifi and elevator were not working due to a power outage over 3 weeks ago. When I inquired about the pool and gym, I was informed due to COVID they were closed even though their website did not mention those services not being offered. At which I was also informed that breakfast will not have any hot foods available. My first night I booked thru expedia which they couldn't do anything about discount wise. But my second night I booked through the hotel. They did not really offer a discount nor did I hear from the manager about further inquiry as to why the hotels private pool would be closed when you can easily social distance. They merely said they were waiting on an answer, but did not know whose answer they were waiting for, the owner, manager, or health department. Individuals should be aware when booking that they are offering amenities that are not available and with four floors, someone may want or need to use that elevator. Expedia did mention they have spoken with the hotel and the website should be updated. But please use caution when booking during COVID, people have different guidance they are following. Alliance has a lot to offer, however, hotel failed to provide basic binder or way to inform travelers of the great treasures. The staff also didn't even know how the community was reacting to non maskers or how long they have been in level 3. This is all unique times and feel this information is important as a traveler. The hotel overall was decently clean and nice appearance, but I would love to see them actually figure out why they have the pool and gym closed when ODH says they can be opened. I also recommend they get a larger sign, I paid more attention to Wendy's sign then seeing their sign for turn in.
