  Most staff without masks

  If you have any concerns re: Covid safety precautions Id advise you stay elsewhere. Staff are talking to each other without masks in small public areas that you cannot avoid (in front of the elevators, in the narrow hallways). I saw maybe 1 or 2 staff actually wearing a mask. It was a letdown given the policies they seem to advertise on their website.

  Free Booze!!!!

  Ok this is a great Hotel, clean with Pool, Hot tub, Gym etc. Lots of hotels have this. But what stands out is every weeknight from 4:30-6:30 there is a managers Popup with FREE BOOZE, 3 beers or Glasses of Wine, RUN dont walk to this Hotel if you are in the area. It is in a bit of a weird spot, but with WAZE and my car it wasnt an issue, It was like 5 mins off I-95. Staff took covid very seriously. Be aware they do not clean the rooms every day due to Corona

  A gross encounter !

  Checked in Sunday night with Nina Went up to my room and found the table between beds had sticky residue. I cleaned that spot and while doing so I noticed the clock radio that was covered in one side with what looked VERY MUCH like snot !!!! I picked it up found it to be unplugged so I put it out of my way on the AC unit This was DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE ! I stayed for two days . I dont fault the housekeeping staff on this one - this was an animalistic foul guest that sneezed in the alarm clock and didnt even TRY to clean it up Who does that ? Daytime and evening staff were pleasant and welcoming Nina on the other hand is a little strange I would have rated average but the facility needs a serious update in their rooms I will try Hotel down the street next time NOTE .... as I believe Housekeeping is a completely thank-less job I did leave a 20 dollar bill as a gratuity just to show I didnt blame them for the snot clock

  Good price but best of all: very clean

  I just returned from a two night stay at the Hampton Inn Portsmouth Central. I thought it was a great value for the price. Very clean, following all Covid precautions, nice room, brought my dog for an extra $50 (he's old and needs to be with me so I found that price reasonable), close to a ton of shopping (next door to the Christmas Tree Shops) and restaurants. It is a short drive to downtown Portsmouth. I was next to an outside door due to my dog, but I wasn't disturbed at all by people going in and out. I loved the grab 'n go breakfast, especially the cheese danish. They even have a guest laundry at no extra charge. Jacob checked me in and he was very nice and efficient. I would definitely recommend.

  Safe, clean, and friendly hotel

  Staff is super friendly. They have a nice social hour with complimentary drinks. While most hotels aren't serving breakfast during the pandemic, this hotel has an extensive breakfast selection with packaged pre-peeled hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, cheese, juices, fruit cups, granola bars, muffins, danish, etc. The hotel is very clean and follows Covid safety guidelines.
