    Best part of our stay was Carrie at the front desk.

    When we arrived, Carrie greeted us at the front desk. I don't know when we've had as nice of a welcome as hers. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helped us feel right at home. Her restaurant recommendations were invaluable! She was wonderful and a very great asset to this hotel. The hotel room was comfortable; the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. However, we did have trouble with the thermostat. If we kept it at the right temperature, it would get too humid; if we turned down the temperature to fix the mugginess, then it was too cold. But maybe all hotels in August in South Carolina are like this? We stayed in Hampton Inn in Columbia the night before and I feel like that hotel did a better job of handing breakfast during coronavirus. To get breakfast at this hotel, you have to tell the person at the front desk what you want..... and all they have are granola bars, instant oatmeal and grits, and other junk-food- type breakfast items. No fresh fruit. I felt sorry for the front desk worker who is now trying to do her front desk job AND take care of everyone's breakfast. It seems as if this hotel could handle this situation better. I did like how this hotel had full size luggage carts. Also, the bathrooms were a good size for 3-4 people. I recommend staying here. It's a great location for visiting the Charleston area.

    Decor, space and room size, breakfast, walkability, customer service, all were not what I expect from Hilton properties.

    I arrived at about 6 pm, attendant listening to a customer's request to be moved, etc, despite the line but since he was the only one working, this happens. When he finally got off the phone, his attitude was not good; he did not try to honor my written requests until I insisted. He then explained he was expecting a large group & this affected the ability to honor my requests. He got me a good room but didn't mention where or how breakfast would be served. But no problem. After getting checked in, my room was so cramped and the decor was just plain, sub par. The beds were comfortable, so I managed the night. I went for a morning walk but there is no real space or sidewalks for walking, except along the highway. Due to COVID, breakfast came in a bag, mostly sugary danish, yogurt, tea, or cereal is what I remember. The young woman on overnight shift was leaving in an hour but she made up for everything. I should have asked her name. The stay wasn't bad, but not what I expect from Hilron, especially in terms of space, decor & pleasant customer service.

    Always worth the money

    The staff was courteous, helful and vert friendly. The room decor was as good if not better than most places we staff. Bed was very comfortable. Due to COVID the breakfast has been reduced but still adequate to get the day started. The hotel is located less than 3 minutes off of Hwy 17.

    Beautiful grounds and hotel

    My wife and I shared the most comfortable bed. Check-in and check out were easy, pleasant processes. The desk was full of Charleston info for visitors to take. The room was very clean and the bathroom spotless. Shower was comfortable.

    Great stay

    Hampton brand doesnt disappoint. In for a short stay visit to Charleston, SC. Convenient location next to Ravenal bridge. Hot buffet breakfast gone secondary to Covid but coffee, tea, Continental breakfast still available. Fabian at front desk terrific and has wealth of useful information. Consummate professional. Thanx
