  Mini Vacation

  Took a four day vacation in May to Hattiesburg in May just to do some fishing but wanted to stay at a nice hotel. I love Hamptons. So my nephew made a reservation on Plaza. What a clean new hotel, front desk person was great, room nice, fresh plenty of room inside. We didn't use the pool just didn't have enough time. Hot water in the shower, nice view, quite will stay there again. Breakfast was okay with the virus thing can't expect much but hot breakfast sandwiches are always good and Jimmy Dean can't go wrong. Hamptons have the best coffee always fresh and hot.

  Quick stop on way to see family

  Stayed here one night, was unsure because of reviews. Room was nice and clean, hotel itself was a bit confusing as its a home2 home and Hampton Inn within one location. Stayed in 406 and I can relate to the highway noise, every time the air went off you could hear it. I didnt get much sleep because of the noise. Didnt see a person at checkout so I just left keys in the dish. People was waiting to check out and was waiting a while no one around which seemed odd. No breakfast staff around either. Choose a hotel away from highway if possible. Didnt swim but was told by a fellow guest that it was nice and they had BBQ grills also. Hotel was very clean! The night staff was great but daytime needs to step up their game so people dont have to wait long times

  I should have read the reviews...

  Highly rated hotel according to Tripadvisor. That being said - I should have read some of the traveler reviews. We stayed in room 405. Yes - you could definitely hear the highway. Having worked professionally with architects and engineers - I think they were tasked with fitting this building on the site in such a way as to minimize sound. I personally would not stay there again.

  Park at your own risk

  I stayed at the hotel based on the reviews. I parked on the side of the building which is visible in their picture. I had a tonneau cover on my pickup truck which was broken into. I am a salesman traveling for work and all of my samples were stolen including the bags I carry them in. I contacted the hotel - they informed me it was park at your own risk and that they do not have cameras on the building. I was also told another person had their truck tool box broken into the same night. Hotel owners it might be helpful to obtain cameras for your customers security. Apparently, the criminals are on to the fact you do not.

  Enjoyed

  First time we stayed at this hotel. We used the app for check-in and to pick our room. This works great. We used the digital keys so we didnt have to go to the desk to check-in we went right to our room. We stayed on the 4th floor and the room was very clean and the bed was comfy. Love the barn door for the bathroom. We didnt have to stop at the desk on the way out either, they email the recite to you. Will stay again if in the area.
