  Comfortable luxury hotel with reasonable price, clean room, good breakfast

  We stayed there for 1 night. Very happy with what we get: - Nice hotel compound - Big,nice and clean apartment and room - Good breakfast spread: Chinese and western choices We got the promotional price which is very reasonable. I am a happy customer. The buffet seafood BBQ dinner: if you don't get any discount, I feel that it is not really worth it.

  Local hotel clothed in international branding

  If this Hampton is Hilton's first ever property in China, this is our first ever Hampton stay..... in our lives. We wanted an international brand so that the bed will not be hard, like local chinese hotels. We did wonder why there are so few reviews on Tripadvisor. Now we know why. It is essentially a very good value local hotel under the Hilton branding, catering for locals. In fact, the property is part Hotel, part apartment blocks. We booked it because we thought it is near to Sanya Bay Beach. One of the reviews mentioned about a free shuttle to the beach but there is none. So we took a 10-minute taxi to the Sanya Bay Beach. It was very average. We then took a taxi to Yalong Beach. It was excellent. I would highly recommend Yalong Bay if you are into clear pristine waters. LOCATION 10 mins by car from High train station 10 mins by car to city center 40 mins by car to Yalong Bay There is a small handful of eateries in the area, virtually no shopping 30 mins walk to huge convention center, Mangrove Tree Resort, where there is a very good Northern chinese restaurant, Beach: None. CHECK-IN Excellent. There was a US-educated young man who speaks English and chinese. He was virtually our lifesaver when we had problems with our booking through Agoda (We would never use Agoda again for any bookings. Our booking had problem bec of Agoda's fraudulent verification process. Their local hotlines were uncontactable and we had to make overseas call to reach them. Even upon reaching them, they were inflexible and a complete waste of time. Bec of the Agoda, the booking did not pass through to the hotel and it took > 2 hours to check-in. Finally, this young man got Mangement to let us check-in with the price we got from Agoda. This young man made all the difference, considering how busy the front-desk is. And we had a Welcome fruit basket comprising of 2 bananas and 2 Peaches delivered to our room. Nice touch ! HOUSEKEEPING Reasonably clean. Acceptable. HOTEL BUILDING Lobby looks like a 5-star hotel from the photos but actually not air-conditioned. Corridors are not air-conditioned as well. for energy-saving. BEDROOM Sofa bed : our stylish sofa is a roll-out bed. Flooring: Tiles looking like wood. Makes the decor feel warm. View: None! We faced built-up apartments. Bed: Very very comfortable! Not typical hard chinese beds Sheets: clean white Cotton sheets Pillows: Soft & fluffy. 2 sets of pillows per pax Television : Flat screen. 50 channels. Not a single one in English. We do not watch TV and it is immaterial for us. Phone: By the beside. Plugs: international plugs. Don't even need universal adapter Safe Deposit box: None Fridge: mini fridge, unstocked Wardrobe: Yes, limited space Electric Jug: Yes. Beverage: Teabags and Coffee powder Housekeeping: Clean. Bathrobes: None Slippers: Yes. Not the disposable types but Plastic slippers. If u are fussy, bring your own. BATHROOM Decor: Simple. Ceramic Tiles. Clean. Shower: Stall, excellent water pressure. Hot water is consistent. Hairdryer :1350 watts Toiletries: PeterThomasRoth. No body lotion. Towels : Large, white, fluffy Wash-basin & Taps : well-maintained Kohler taps BREAKFAST This hotel has a wide spread of buffet breakfast. Good spread of Asian and western food. We didn't try the western as the Asian fare (porridge, noodles, dumplings) are all very good. SWIMMING POOL Seems to be more popular at night. We saw a lady in the pool, wearing her day dress (not swimsuit!), and talking loudly on her phone. Shocking! The hotel should have a policy of banning those without Swimming costumes from going into the pool. CONCLUSION This is a very good value business and family hotel considering the substantial breakfast thrown in and proximity to airport and Sanya high-speed train. But if the beach is important for you, this is not the hotel for you.

  Great hotel

  The hotel is very close to the city centre. We would recommend it for the following reasons: 1.Room is clean and spacious 2.it has an outside swimming pool 3. The staff are friendly. 4. breakfast is good and a variety of food to choose

  Ripped me off

  I reserved the hotel through the Hilton app a week before going and they raised the rates on me - only informing me when I arrived. The shuttle services that they published were not offered. The staff had poor customer service. The room and facilities were ok but the location is inconvenient unless you have a car. I've stayed at several Hamptons and Hiltons and I will say that this is the worst experience I've had.
