Great Stay for 2 Grandparents and 4 Teenage Kids

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Haidi House. Thomaso and Adelaide are wonderful hosts, so down to earth and a pleasure to be with. We booked a family suite, 3 teenage girls in one room, and a 13 year old grandson in our room. It was perfect, even with a shared bathroom. The house is immaculate. We stayed two nights and were surprised when we returned from Pompeii the first day to find our rooms made up and fresh towels. The views from the property are beautiful and the setting encourages a relaxing time. Breakfast was good, everything we could have asked for and more with a delicious flan pie of some sort with cherries. There is a nice restaurant (only takes cash and no ATM around) and a Gelateria just up the hill. Just down the hill (not within walking distance) there is a wonderful restaurant (Da Nicola) where we had the best time laughing with Gilda, and the food was excellent. We really wish we had stayed a while longer as I would have enjoyed chatting with Thomaso over a glass of grappa.

The perfect place to stay to explore Amalfi

So I wanted to stay in Amalfi or Positano but it was just to expensive and parking to was costing up to 36 euros per night. So I choose Agerola based on price and proximity to Amalfi. A regular bus that costs 2e to take you to Amalfi. Having got there this was such a genius decision. That road down to Amalfi would be a nightmare to drive and if you have a hotel on the cliff you pretty much need to walk down as the buses coming from Agerola were full and never stopped. What a great stay. Lovely people with high quality rooms. Haidi and her husband was so hospitable and made our stay that more comfortable.A brilliant location minutes walk from the main Bomerano Bus station (where there is a tourist information office who speak English) and the Piazza. Where buses can take u to Amalfi and Napoli. There are also many great restaurants nearby. We ate our best meals in Agerola and visited pear and figs farms. I highly recommend this hotel and I can assure u you'll have a great, comfy stay with fresh made cake by Haidi for breakfast. Please note when you get near the hotel do not follow your sat nav but the road signs leading to Haidi House as sat nav stopped us 100 m away.

    What a find!

Wow, such a little gem! Since it was sooo expensive to stay anywhere along the coastline around Amalfi, we found Haidi house in the little village of Agerola about a 30 mins to 1 hour drive from any of the neighbouring must see destinations. We werent that keen on driving around, but we were captivated by the mesmerising beautiful views down the long and winding roads. Where youll see small village houses cascading down the cliff side and picturesque water falls. There are plenty of affordable taxi services as an alternative. We would not have seen as much of the beautiful country side if we were not staying in Agerola, which is a beautiful village in its own right. Haidi house is owned by a lovely couple. There are freshly made cakes made for breakfast every morning and a wide selection of good foods and hot drinks. The rooms were very clean and spacious enough with everything you could need except for a mini fridge, though Im sure theyd be happy to store anything in their fridge for you. They do charge an extra 10euro if you use the air con for more than 2 hours per day. All the rooms have a balcony with nice veiws of the woodlands and surrounding homes. There is a nice little garden area to relax out the front. There is parking on sight and it is a very safe area. Youll have a key to help yourself in and out of the house as and when you please. The owners were very helpful and very pleasent to talk to, they speak English well enough to have a quick conversation. It is a quick walk up hill towards the village where there are several restaurants. Seafood, pizza and pasta are the local favourites. You will need to reserve a table if you want to guarantee that youll eat out somewhere. We would definitely return to Haidi house agin in the near future.

A quiet night in the mountain

You are 500 meters (about 1500 feet) above the Almalfi coast, in a small but beautiful village where you can pick apples, walnuts and chestnuts while you are walking down the streets. Close to a beautiful and famous "path of god" trail, with a million dollars view of the Mediterranean sea (not from the hotel though:). This family owned B&B is nestled outside the village, recently remodeled, and well maintained. The owner is a lovely and friendly lady whom greeted us with a cappuccino and a high smile. The breakfast was normal Italian food. This property has a gated parking for guests' cars.

    Perfect

We stayed (unfortunately only) for 1 night. Very nice and warm family. Excellent access to the Amalfi Coast. Very good restaurant recommendation, LIlcanto, 5 minutes by car from the house. Would come back anytime. Grazie mille!
