  Short break

  I stayed here with family for one night at the end of January. The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were large enough with hairdryer, bathtub, hot water at all times, clean and comfortable. Contintental breakfast was fine. There is some parking at the front of the hotel. Only criticism is that the beds only have one square pillow for each person which is unusual for the rest of the world (though I understand that's normal for the region!)

  Horrible Customer Service

  I was not able to make my reservation because of an accident on the way to the hotel that left me in the hospital for a week. The hotel refused to honour it's agreement in regards to the cancellation fee and ended up charging me three times what they agreed to.

  One night

  Stayed for one night. Ate at the hotel, food was ok. We had fish and chips and pizza and none of it tasted too fresh. Breakfast was decent. Staff were friendly enough. Room was ok but basic. If returning to Engleberg I would stay at this hotel again.

  Cozy and friendly

  Good place to spend a couple of nights. You feel just like home. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ate at the restaurant and service was good. Breakfast food ok - typical cold buffet for this type of hotel. (By the way their Alp cheese was excellent). But do not stay in the back room for breakfast go straight to the restaurant. Location is not so bad as you are few minutes by foot from the center of town. Nice carport.

  Best view from any hotel in Engelberg!

  A really nice place to stay. We got lucky and were "granted" the last available room there (in all of Engelberg, for that matter) over New Year's Eve 2017/18. Unparalleled view of the landmark "Hahne" peak and just 200 meters away from the relocated "Brunni" cable car base station. The staff are wonderful, laid-back, jolly mountain folk; the rooms, rather simple but perfectly clean and inviting (whereas the very soft mattresses might be somewhat of a surprise for one or the other guest ... after the initial shock, I actually liked the comfy feel). Highly recommended for those seeking a great price/quality relationship.
