Excellent Coffee StopWe had coffee after eating lunch at Lili's home cooked restaurant, which doesn't do coffee or dessert. We are so glad that gave us an excuse to come here. The hotel is a traditional stone house with a terrific view over Berat. Eddie, the bar man, is an interesting young man to talk to about the Albanian immigrant experience. Really good service and honest and generous with his story. It was an education for us. Thank you Eddie. Oh and the Italian espressos were terrific!

Wonderful views, everything else a bit averageAlmost as high as you can go in Berat, this place is a bit of a climb but great views once you have recovered your breath. They will send someone to collect you and carry your luggage. Definitely not wheelchair accessible. The views are the best bit though. The Romanian lady who runs it is a bit overbearing, the room was rather cramped and the breakfast (cold, overcooked eggs, stale bread) is rather grim. There are probably better value places to stay in Berat - this wouldn't have been our first choice, but elsewhere was booked. The same guy takes your luggage down after check-out we were told the hotel pays him but he then asked for a tip and complained about the amount too! Lasting impressions ....

Great find with the perfect place for the morning coffee. We booked the hotel via booking.com and had the whole place to ourselves . The hotel was clean throughout and the host Gabriella was flawless in her service . She gave us lots of tips about places to visit, eat and most importantly how to get there. You must have your morning coffee - or evening drinks if warm weather - on the terrace. Stunning views and lots of sunshine . We will definitely return there in the summer. As we left the neighborhood we encountered the jam-selling lady who was the most unpleasant individual I have encountered in Albania . Avoid this person if you dont want your experience spoiled- she was venomous.
