  Staid overnight for a conference. Very quirky hotel. Lovely rooms. Surprisingly good buffet restaurant. Nice bar and lobby. Just wish the receptionists would know they are working in the service industry. Very unfriendly. Regrettably the reception staff are the reason for my rating. Better reception staff would have meant full marks.

  A surprising gem off the beaten track

  The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately, its premises are very nice so you can spend some time there. There is also a bicycle lane/sidewalk which you can take in order to walk to the nearest town. The hotel is really luxurious and serves mind-blowing buffets meals.

  I wish I could give 7 stars

  Honestly: Im spending about 120 nights/year in hotels around Europe and the Middle East mainly. This one has blown me away and is second to none. Checkin was a charm, only to truly impress me with the room. Fitted into an old farm, the entire hotel is laid out wide rather than tall and has lots of small corners and sitting areas all over. Theres at least 4-5 fireplaces in the lobby and restaurant which give this place a very special flair. Best thing ever: EVERYTHING is organic. And I mean everything, not only food. Most things are built from natural wood which influences the whole air and atmosphere inside. Team is super friendly and helpful and they serve the first buffet I have experienced that actually features really good, home cooked food. Wow. The daily variety is amazing and everyone seems proud to work here. The conference facilities are special too. Spread around the hotel, they feature wooden floors and stone walls for a great ambience. Wait till you see the gym and spa area with pool... take the time to stay an extra night or over the weekend; its totally worth it. Ill definitely come back for a weekend retreat with family.

  Such a shame

  We've been using this hotel for eight years now for business use and we've always enjoyed the slightly odd-ball nature of the place. Unfortunately, new management seems to have ruined it. They were disorganised, unprepared and pitiful when it came to understanding our requirements. Requirements that would be standard elsewhere. We won't be returning.

  This place is a gem hidden a bit out of town but well worth the visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. Only comment was personally needed a firmer pillow and bathrooms are a bit dated but the hotel makes up for that with a fabulous breakfast and the restaurant was great too with varied menu and super presentation. The hotel boasts a spa and gym, location is easy to get to and very pretty!
