  Best pet friendly hotel ever

  This hotel is brand new and very very nice! We found it while on a road trip with our 2 dogs. They not only do not charge pet fee, but also offer bowls, treats, etc. Bed is very comfortable. Room was spotless clean and staff was super friendly. Wish they had more of this around the country.

  Mini Vaca before back to school

  great atmosphere friendly staff clean accommodation nice fitness area pool was small but thankful it was open to enjoy with the kids. Even during Covid pandemic they offered a good selection at Breakfast options. We will choose to stay here again..

  Pleasant Surprise

  This location was recommended while doing a wine tour in the area. was pleasantly surprised by the facility. Very roomy and clean appearance. Though we visited during the pandemic time period there was no breakfast as advertised (which we totally understand). Rooms were very spacious and clean.

  Large rooms

  We stayed here for a girls weekend to watch a show choir competition. We appreciated the size of the room and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. It offered a great breakfast buffet which was appreciated before a big day of activity. The hotel is clearly for those who have loved ones at the neighboring hospital. We did not realize this when we booked it. We would perhaps book a hotel closer to, or in the middle of, the downtown area where we could walk to restaurants and stores.

  Great experience for our team

  Our high school basketball team reached the State Tournament which was held in La Crosse. We decided to stay at the Gundersen based on review ratings and proximity to the La Crosse Center. The rooms at the Gundersen were very nice and clean. The breakfast was okay, but fully understand that in the COVID times, they're restricted as to what they can offer. The staff at the hotel is amazing, very professional, friendly, understanding, and on top of things. We could not have asked to stay at a better hotel while in La Crosse.
