  Gulf Winds Resort Review

  We stayed for the first time at the Gulf Winds over the Thanksgiving week.!! It is an amazing place to stay! We were right beside the pool, across the street from Upham Beach and a great little restaurant. The guests and staff (Teresa) are very friendly. The area is very nice and clean. . Thank you to room 904 for making a beautiful condo. Nicely decorated!!! THe only thing I can think of is having a more firmer mattress. I have trouble with pillow top mattresses. But it was a great stay!!

  Beautifully renovated two bedroom condo 1004 Gulf Winds. St Pete Beach Florida

  We stayed in this beautifully renovated two bedroom condo for a month. For part of our stay we were joined by my daughter and her two children (3 months and 4 years). This condo is very bright, clean and modern. The view from the living room window is beautiful you can see the beach and ocean across a quiet street. AC, new appliances, adjustable lighting and super quiet fans in each bedroom. High speed Internet. This is a beautiful condo, I would highly recommend it.

  Condo boasted heated towel warmer which was not provided. During our stay they had construction on upham beach which kept us up late every night. They worked all night beep beep beep... The room smelled clean upon walking in but had hair on the shower drain as well as the bedding smelled of B.O. The beach towels were put away wet in the closet full of sand and smelling musty. Usually not much of a complainer but this place was disgusting.

  Well equipped condo in fabulous location

  We werent sure what to expect but were very pleased with both the location of the resort and the amenities. There are 3 separate blocks of condos so the proximity to the various amenities is dependent upon which block you are staying in eg some close to pool others close to laundry room. There is a small swimming pool for use by guests 10am - 10pm, a coin operated laundry with multiple washers and dryers, a staffed reception desk - (Teresa is really friendly and very informative) and even a shuffleboard court. Upham beach is just across the road ! There is also a beach cafe across the road and a wide choice of bars and eateries nearby all within easy walking distance. Parking gets really busy, really early for beach goers . For condo residents, parking permits are provided for the duration of your stay - although the number of passes may vary per condo. Beware of parking attendants who are very keen to hand out tickets for just about anything. Great place to stay !

  pleasant apartment/condo near the beach.

  We spent 5 days here while visiting the area. I hadn't stayed in the area before so I was purely going on internet and expedia reviews. We had to change rooms and got an upgrade which was nice. The condo was a 1 BR on the second floor. The stairs and hallway were a little old and the carpet needed upgrading. The unit featured a living/dining room and kitchen with a couch and recliner and kitchen table with chairs. There were windows overlooking the road. Maybe some other units overlook the beach. The air conditioning worked well except it tended to blow down on the recliner where I liked to sit. A ceiling fan would have been really nice. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes/utensils we needed to cook basic meals. There was a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster along with all major appliances except a dishwasher. The bedroom was somewhat small, but sufficient for our stay. The bed was comfortable. extra sheets were on the shelf. There was a TV in the bedroom as well. Sleep quality was good. There were a few cabinets, drawers, and shelves for our items. There were some beach towels for our use. The bathroom was small, but again was sufficient for our needs. The shower appeared to have been updated. Really the only complaint was that the toilet was very slow to flush and quick to jam. not sure if a plumbing issue or the toilet itself. We were given a parking pass to park on the street nearby. we always found a spot near the condo. The TV was large and had a good selection of channels. There were enough outlets to charge our phones and such. Management was easy to deal with. We ended up having to add a day and that was easy to do. The beach is a short walk away. Easy to get a morning walk. The beach itself was quite nice. one could walk for a couple miles. The sand was much smoother than Sanibel with all the shells. There were a bunch of restaurants and bars within walking distance from the condo. There were nighttime events a block or so down the road, but the noise wasn't bad. The price was reasonable for the condo. Overall it was just fine for our stay.
