  Vale la pena!

  Estuvimos solo una noche, está bien ubicado respecto a la ciudad amurallada (10/15 minutos caminando), aunque la escalera para llegar a ésta (con buenos descansos) tiene 150 escalones! El cuarto era muy amplio, con buena vista pero el baño no era en suite (aunque solo era para nosotros) y un poco pequeño. Es sin desayuno, pero tiene heladera, pava eléctrica, te y café , asique se puede tomar un cafecito antes de salir. Tiene cochera y wifi gratis. Es una casa de familia, muy pintoresca, con un lindo jardín. Fueron muy amables. Nuestra habitación era en el 2º piso y no hay ascensor, pero para nosotros no fue problema. También pudimos dejar el auto allí hasta el mediodía que recién partíamos de Dubrovnik Sin duda volveríamos!

  Ideal accomodation in Dubrovnik

  I booked this just a couple of days before we arrived in Dubrovnik on the strength of the tripadvisor ratings and I was not disappointed. My husband and I were looking for somewhere for 2 nights as close to the old city as possible but with private secure parking included and guesthouse libertas was ideal. We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor and the room was spotlessly clean and well proportioned. It also had easy access straight on to the terrace where we had breakfast both mornings looking out over to the old town. There is a bakery and small supermarket very close by and the room had a good sized fridge and a kettle. Anka, the landlady was very helpful and made us feel very welcome, giving us a good recommendation for dinner on our first night. We would highly recommend staying here, particularly if you have a car as you will be hard pressed to find anything closer to the old city where parking is included - this was a real find!

  Darling Doesn't Compensate

  We were disappointed on several fronts: arrival, lack of contact info., insincere attempt to endear us to the landlord. When we located the gate we had to wait 45 min for someone to arrive and let us in. Then the son of the owner just opened our room and gave us a key saying his mother would be available shortly. We never saw or heard from her for two days until the eve of our departure when she left a note saying she'd be available the next morning to collect the money. The bathroom was across the hall from our room (not stated in the advert) and the 'view' was a small side window facing Dubrovnik. It wasn't all bad. The room was clean and it was a short walk downhill to the old city. However, a bad taste was left with us when the landlord tried to compensate for her lack of communication with the over familiar 'darling'.

  Great Value, Great Location!

  We booked our trip to dubrovnik rather late and a lot of good budget accommodation was already booked out. I spent ages on the internet looking up somewhere decent to stay that was near the old town and on a budget. I'm delighted to say i found here. Guesthouse Liberatas is about a 5 minute walk to the old town (may be longer back up due to a lot of steps! But it's dubrovnik and it's built on a hill so expect nothing less!). Our room was spotless and sheets changed every second day. The bathroom was lovely too, brilliant shower and clean. There was a fridge and kettle in our room with some cups and cutlery. Before arriving from split, we text the owner and he kindly collected us from the bus station for free which was very handy. Delighted we found this gem, I would definitely recommend here for a good clean accommodation in close proximity to the old town . I would stay again when returning to dubrovnik. My only gripe was we stayed 6 nights and I would have preferred self catering but this was my fault and not the guesthouse. :)

  Lovely accommodation! Amazing staff

  My friend and I were backpacking Dubrovnik, and this was the perfect place to relax and have enough space for ourselves. We had a memory foam comfortable mattress and our own bathroom attached. Theres a lovely garden outside that overlooks the city. The guesthouse is run by a man and his mother. Both of them are wonderful people who are willing to do anything for you to make your stay comfortable. Our room also had a really cool antique vibe that I absolutely loved. Its also pretty centrally located and is a great location if you want to be close to the center without paying crazy prices.
