  Structure in urgent need of a makeover

  The staff was helpful from booking over check-in to check-out. Complaints were however not taken seriously but somewhat rebuffed (guess they are used to them). Position is excellent in Silvaplana with good access to all the structures of the valley. The hotel is however only 30m from the main country road from Maloja to Scuol - so watch out for those lakeview rooms, they come with traffic noise and view. Structure is from the 70s and in very urgent need of a makeover - without wanting to go into unpleasant detail here. Prices are generally too steep for the state the rooms are in.

  The hotel manager from Hell !!! She was shouting at other guests and her staff and was very rude to us, the worst occasion was our last night when we asked to check out and she started to scream and shout at us in front of all the other guests saying that she did not have time for us to check out and kept shouting that this hotel was 0 star hotel and that we should have gone to a 5 star if we wanted to check out. Also she had her dogs within the hotel and they was free to roam around the kitchen and our friend Brommey was nearly bitten by one of them. She also threatened to block our car in so that we could not leave. Awful lady and all the other guests that we spoke to had also had a run in with her.

  Friendly and helpful staff

  We stayed at Chesa Silva for one night whilst vising St Moritz. The staff was very accommodating and friendly in all interactions we had with them. The room was clean and exactly what we had hoped for when looking for somewhere to stay for the night!

  A great place to stay

  Been here a few times. Fantastic place to stay. The staff is amaizing and you really feel at home. Lots to do around Silvaplana. Biking, hiking, kiting etc. Hopefully will be back soon. Very well priced and breaki is included. AAA+++

  Hotel closed

  We spent our ski vacation for the last 3 years in Chesa Silva in Silvaplana. We booked again for this year, received a booking confirmation and even an e-mail the day before we came. However, when we arrived, everything was closed. The Hotel is closed and nobody informed us. We were lucky to find something for our family for one week in the high season thanks to the help of the tourist office. So dont book there as this hotel is not doing business anymore at this time.
