I have just returned from two weeks island hopping around the south of Croatia. Mljet was the second place we visited and the most relaxing. Most people visit it for its National Park but we decided to stay for three nights to get some real rest before moving to Hvar. The family that run Guest House Pikala are extremely friendly and hospitable. They carried our luggage to rooms and welcomed us in quickly. This accommodation is located in the middle of NOWHERE but is easily accessed by car (the owners collected and dropped us to the ferry ports free of charge) Our apartment slept four and had a beautiful balcony, well equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. If you want to simply escape and relax this is the ideal location. The family Taverna connected to the accommodation served amazing fresh fish which was caught that day. It was very reasonably priced which made eating out easy. Hiring bikes would be something I recommend to get around the island.

Welcoming and caring hosts
We did not expect it to be such a small village in Soline but this guesthouse was definitely the liveliest of them all. The hosts there are very accommodating and the restaurant they own has fresh seafood daily. Highly recommend for a friends active getaway!
