Good value stay at a lovely place!

This was our first time in Cagliari and our good experience immediately started when we were picked up from the airport by super friendly chauffeur Maria! She did not speak English but made us feel immediately welcome! It also was great that they offered this pick up service as it is much cheaper than a regular taxi. When we arrived we only had to wait a little while before we were allowed to check into our room(we arrived quite early in the morning), they let us in the room earlier than the normal check in time! The room was small but very clean and comfortable, the bed was great!! Lots of big clean towels as well! Outside our room was a common kitchen (only use for the microwave) with a common sitting area. The location was not perfect (a little boring looking neighbourhood with high old flats) and quite far from the city centre but there is a comfortable bus stop close by and we took that bus nearly everyday. We could by bustickets at the cafe accross the street that also served our breakfast each morning. It was quite funny that the breakfast was served in a cafe accross the street but it was really fun to see and meet locals as they dropped in for their pre lunch espresso and enjoy a baguette with prociutto. ^__^ The cafe offered some baguettes with ham, cheese or salami and sweet pastries like croissant with honey. Again the staff was lovely! Conclusion: A great stay and we felt really at home! We felt warmly welcome by everyone and will definately come back! ^__^

Cheap but you get what you pay for

A reasonable room, although you need to get used to cold showers and half of the amenities not working. A long way out of town (further than google maps or tripadvisor thinks, be careful if navigating to a point on your GPS). Air conditioning worked well and the bed was nice and firm. Wifi also good.

    Cheap and not cheerful

I stayed here for a few nights in June, first of all the B&B is difficult to find. You have to collect the keys from a travel agency and they lead you across the road to a block of flats where the rooms are located. The B+B is out of town, the only way in is via a very steep hill unless you want to catch a bus or taxi. The shower is temperamental, it was luke warm for about 30 seconds during my stay, I am not sure if this was an eco thing or just a crap boiler. Both the microwave and coffee machine were broken and I couldn't find 2 glasses of similar size to drink out of. The nearest restaurant is a Mc Donalds drive through, I found a Chinese restaurant after walking for 20 minutes but the vegetarian options were very limited. Also there was a bag lady outside drinking from any bottle she could find in the wheelie bin which gives you an indication of the area. Cagliari seemed like a beautiful place but if you have limited time and really want to explore the place spend more money and stay in the centre.

    Pleasant and functional

The position is quite good even if you don't have a car as you can reach the center with the M line right in front of the building and it really takes few minutes. Then, the fact of having the travel agency right in front helps greately in case you need to ask anything, expecially because they are really nice and professional people. The apartment itself provides kitchen and living room, where you can even find an automathic machine that I found very useful. It even provides coffee for the coffee machine next to it! Then our room was wide for two and the owner was so nice to turn the ac on before us getting in. The only flaws I can find are the bathroom, that had a very weird disposition with the toilet right next to the entrance of the shower, but...I mean, it is a private bathroom and the price was perfectly reasonable! One more thing, be aware that you need to say when you want to have your check-in as they are not open all day long. All in all, highly recommanded!

Awful Experience - Very dodgy company/ Travel Agency

Ok, so I'll just copy my review I put on Google Maps. We booked through Booking.com for this place, which is in fact, a travel agency that sub-lets out to nearby hotels. When we arrived we had to wait an hour for the place to open, the man was rude on the phone and hung up on my (Italian) girlfriend. We then got shown to a hotel at a completely different address a 5 minute drive away and left there. The manager answered and said he knew nothing about us! We had to then spend another hour looking for a proper hotel to stay at. Subsequently, we were refunded in full by Booking but I have just found out that the hotel has taken nearly double the money back directly from my bank account, resulting in me having to report this as fraudulent activity. Beware.
