New year in Sankt AntonHad an enjoyable holiday with our family in St.Anton where we rented 4 rooms in this Hotel. Unfortunately the hotel and accommodation are more outdated then the impression given by the pictures on the website; the reception and lounge are very traditional. Rooms are basic, bathroom and toilet not separated, shower in the bathtub and no air exhaust system. No coffee/ tea or water in the room. Standard breakfast buffet and dinner with same salad bar daily. In general it's ok, but less as expected for a 4 star hotel. Not real value for money. I like to give complements to the staff however being very friendly and helpful.

WelcomingStayed here by accident as we could not reach our hotel that we had booked in Lech due to heavy snow. Well what a piece of luck. This hotel has a typical Austrian feel with lots of wood etc. Our room was very clean and a decent size. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good - decent buffet selection at breakfast and offering five course evening meals with a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian mains. It has a pool and sauna (not that I used them) and a decent boot room and storage for skis, boards and boots. Five minute walk to the cable car. Perfect for me! This is not 5**** luxury but a good, solid, family run, non-corporate hotel. Highly receommened.

Excellent service, food and location.Great hotel, in the middle of the village just off the main street so walking distance of everywhere in the village. Very good food, all excellent quality with plenty of variation, produced by and chef and his team who really take pride in what they deliver. Breakfast also good, lovely local breads, bircher muesli, yoghurts etc. Good size rooms with plenty of storage space, useful when skiing, all very clean and tidy. The service was excellent at every point during our holiday. The only small minus was they didn't light the fire in the lounge area which would have made it appear more cosy, this hotel doesn't go for frills however what it does deliver, it delivers to a very high standard. As other reviews have said this is a good value family run hotel. Spa are with sauna and steam room, with pool for general use. Definitely recommended and we would stay again.

MagicalIf I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. Fabulous does not even begin to describe it. Staff was fantastic and room took the term gemutluch to a new level. Beautiful wood decorated room one of the best I have ever visited. Town was beautiful too. As an aside loved the grocery store Spar. Woman behind deli counter was fantastic. Fairy tale Alpine villages do not come more picturesque than this. If I could relocate there I would in a flash. Only an hour from Innsbruck. Should have eaten dinner in the hotel but we ate at a very nice place where young lady from Tanzania worked. Just a great experience at this resort. It was initially just an afterthought - a convenient stop over on the way to Munch from Lake Garda was my thinking. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Family proprietors were excellent. Anyone interested in beautiful Alpine locales should visit Arlberg region where St. Anton is located. It doesn't get much better than this

Served its purposeThe hotel is clean and close to the lifts and center of town. You are able to store your boots and skis at the rental shop near the lifts, which was massively convenient. The breakfast was very good, as was the dinner. The afternoon snacks were really just left-overs from the previous evenings dinner and that days breakfast, plus some pickles and Slim-Jim-like dried sausages. We had a nice dinner at the hotel most nights, but ventured out a few nights to add variety (The nearby Fondue and Tapas places were yummy.) To be critical, our nights were very uncomfortable. The beds were hard and uncomfortable platforms. My wife had to sleep on top of an extra comforter. The room was also very very hot, and never got cooler, even after we asked the desk 2-3 times. We slept with the windows wide open, but it wasnt enough. As for the rooms, the decor is dated. The shower is very small 2x2 (0.6mx0.6m). Our room was on the 4th floor (almost in the attic???) had windows that were small and way too high to get any view. (The bottom of the window started 2m up the wall). The Wi-Fi was also so frustratingly slow and intermittent, we just used our LTE. We found the staff to be hit or miss. Some were nice, especially the food and bar staff who were great. But, others made us feel like we were bothering them. Maybe its a cultural thing.
