  Family Holiday

  Fantastic location, High up in the Griesalp valley. we had 2 rooms which are basic but comfortable with a Tv. and shower . Staff are very friendly and helpful from management to the waiters and waitresses. There are no coffee making facilities in the room. This hotel is very popular with walkers for this month. We opted for a easy 7mile walk which we did with our 2 children aged 17 and 12, the walk was around 3hours and is good if you just want to see the valleys and waterfalls. The hotel has a restaurant and bar on site which we used through out our 3 day stay. The food was of good standard as you would expect a little pricey in Switzerland. Interlaken is only around 45 minutes driving which was really handy as we did not to stay there as it fully if tourists. Thun lake is a 20 min drive from the hotel. The postcode will bring you into the start of the village but you need to drive at least 2 miles past all of the accommodations you first come across. You go up the twisty and windy road to reach the hotel.

  Great hotel with great service and good food.

  We stayed one night as part of a hiking tour. Pros: Nice surroundings, clean, small but modern functional bathroom, comfortable beds (we were on the second floor), Modern building. Friendly reception staff friendly restaurant staff. Free Wi-Fi. TV. We had a fixed menu for the evening meal with a choice of a meat selection or vegetarian. Three of us had the meat menu which was excellent and one had the vegetarian which was also very good. The breakfast buffet was very good with a hot selection of scrambled eggs, and cold: of the usual Swiss style food including cereals, hard boiled eggs, bread, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses, Bircher muesli (which ran out), fruit juices and coffee served at the table. Sauna available. Cons: no elevator, no bar fridge. In summary this is an excellent hotel with good service,a good restaurant, nice rooms and friendly, efficient staff. Everything seems to work as it should. Highly recommended.

  Great hotel after a long day of hiking

  We ended our all day hike that started in Kanderstag at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating when the first room we checked into had some issues. They quickly put us into another room and brought us an extra heater to warm up the room. The rooms are quite simple, but clean. The bathroom had a large tile ledge, which was great to put toiletries. The restaurant had excellent food for dinner and breakfast and had a very warm and cozy environment. Only bummer was that the hot tub was by appointment only and all they were full the evening we were there. Be sure to book your hot tub in advance!

  Cant praise enough the customer service

  I was supposed to stay one night at Grisalp hotels while trekking between Kandersteg and Murren. Unfortunately the Blumlisalp pass was still closed because of the snow and I had to cancel my booking on the very same day I was supposed to stay there. Despite the booking was no more refundable Griesalp Hotels accepted very nicely not to charge for the night. Thats what I call a true customer service and I will stay in this hotel next time Im trekking in the Oberland Alps

  Wonderful hotel, especially in winter! Excellent food, very friendly service, spa with wood-fired hot pots. And they pick you up with snowmobiles at the bottom of the steep road. Highly recommended place!
