Hotel for all sensesI have spent my holiday in hotel Gridlon with my wife and son(5 years) and we had unforgettable time... From the first step we feel warm welcome and home atmosphere.. The room is huge and very comfortable. For SPA I have one word AMAZING(indoor/outdoor pool for 5*). Food is so delicious and tasty that you dont need to move from hotel. We enjoy in wine selection during our meals. For staff and service i can only tell thank you for making my stay pleasant My warm recommendation for who are looking accommodation in St.Antom

Fantastic skiing, wonderful spa, amazing food!We went as a group of friends (early 50s). Having spent the majority of our recent skiing holidays in France, we decided that wed spread our wings a little and try something different. A colleague recommended St Anton but we couldnt find a catered chalet (our preference) that measured up to our requirements without paying silly money compared to France. So we decided to look at both hotels and also places outside of St Anton (to escape the resort centre premium). After some searching, Hotel Gridlon popped up, and are we glad that it did! It is marketed as a place of wellness & relaxation, with full spa facilities, but also offers packages throughout the year, such as skiing, so we booked, and were not disappointed. The complex is a mixture of both old and new. The old hotel, with typical Tyrolean styling of wood panels, mural ceilings, open log fires and comfy bar with several snugs hiding away lovely chairs & sofas. The refurbished spa, totally modern, wood, glass, stainless steel, indoor and outdoor heated pools with jacuzzi benches, sauna complex of 3 different temp saunas and a full steam room, and quiet relaxation rooms with loungers, all looking out of large windows over the valley to the mountains opposite. Fantastic. A large array of treatments were also available, but we didnt try any out. Bedrooms are large and very comfy (not that we stayed that long in them!), en-suites very clean. All that you need for a ski break. And then theres the food. Breakfast is a vast spread of virtually everything you could wish for. Hot, cold, sweet, savoury, with everything in plentiful supply. A Skiers Tea is put out in the afternoon, which was a meal in itself a hot savoury dish (soup & dumplings, sausage & sweet mustard etc) as well as the typical strudel or cake sweet options or both!! However, all this was just a prelude to the evening meal. A full 5 courses of fine dining every evening. Salad buffet, starter, soup (or refreshing smoothie), main, dessert or cheese. Stunning every night without exception. A different wine was recommended each day (which could be quite expensive), however, we decided to opt for the open bottle wine (wine by the glass) which worked well for us. The skiing aspects also worked out incredibly well. Although Pettneu is 10 mins out from St Anton centre, the hotel runs 2 shuttle minibuses to take guests into town. Complimentary ski lockers are also available at Intersport, meaning that you dont have to cart your ski gear around all the time, or you can store your equipment in the heated ski store at the hotel. In reality, the shuttle drops you off about 100m from the ski lockers, then once changed you have the choice of 2 cabin lifts or the main 4 man chair within 200m of the store. It couldnt be better. Ski hire is also available in Pettneu, at a considerable saving from St Anton, and the hotel will also organise your lift passes for you. Everything is so easy. Overall, we were blown away. Everything that youd want in a ski break was covered, and the hotel amazing. All the staff were so friendly, nothing too much trouble and taken care of in the chilled manner that permeates throughout the hotel. You simply cannot do anything but relax there, perfect after a great day skiing. It really was like 2 holidays in one! What a wonderful find this place is!

Heavenly after a day of skiing ArlbergReally wonderful family run resort hotel with wellness area (3 saunas, steam room and inside pool as well as relaxation room). Just what one wants after a long day of skiing! Complimentary ski shuttles and ski locker room to dry your gear out. Clean comfortable rooms decorated in the sudtyrol style with plenty of warm wood tones and murals. But the best part is the inclusive 5 course dinner each night. Amazing courses with starter of a extensive salad bar and concluding with a selection of desserts. Truly an amazing value for the money. Wines by the bottle or glass at reasonable prices as well. Being 10 minutes outside pricey St Anton definitely wasn't missed. We've been here twice and will likely return again.

Wonderful hospitalityA wonderfully hospitable family-run hotel (third generation) - happy owners, happy staff and happy guests. The food is outstanding, generous and different every day. No one in our group of 8 had a single dish that wasnt delicious over the course of a week. Highly recommended. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools, two saunas and steam bath.

We loved itWe were here for a two nights summer staying. We enjoyed the lovely facilities (Morden spa/pool with mountain view) and garden/ game ground. The food exceeded our expectation and made the value for money well worth it for our staying. All service really nice with afternoon tea time etc. We have a lovely mountain view room with balcony so this counter-effected our small room. The bed was comfortable and nice linings. Overall would recommend for a summer visit as I cannot speak for the winter. I only wish they have a little more supplemental items in the room. We only got one bottle of water during our entire staying. No cotton pads for my skin routine. For a four stars hotels, these are standard.
