  Old but goooood!

  Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband. Yes the hotel is old and in good need for a full Refurb/Reno/pulldown BUT I still loved it! The king size bed was comfy and clean, the bathroom had been updated and was clean enough with soft fresh towels, excellent excellent location, friendly cleaning and reception staff. The down side was the balconys were reallly kind of unsittable due to the aircon overflow flooding the ground, the pool did not look very hygienically maintained after many kids swimming in it constantly but the ocean across the road is crystal clear turquoise anyway. I will definitely be coming back! Make sure you request a room from floor 8 or higher so you have a food view thru the Norfolk pine trees to the ocean

  Nostalgic, beautiful location

  Cant beat the location for a wonderful, walk to everything beach holiday. Great beach walks right outside the door from Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks down to Greenmount, Coolangatta and Kirra. Greenmount Surf Club at the door. The hotel has a beautiful rainforest setting and so many of us holidayed here in our childhood when the resort was in its hey day, we can forgive its aging and quirks.

  Disgraceful

  Was forced to stay here due to a double booking at our longer term accomodation. During this period the prices were on par with higher end apartments in the area per night. The entire facility is extremely rundown, carpark is a nightmare and room was not properly cleaned with hair all over shower floor and walls. The air conditioner pipes come through a hole cut out through a window leaving enough space for mosquitos to also come through to room. On our last night there was a party going on all night in the room above with drinks and possible urination coming over the balcony onto the out door patio. Reception did not seem to bothered by this. Will never be back and will never recommend.

  Found by accident

  Hidden away and wouldnt have found this place but what a great location and hotel. Across the road from the road from the Greenmount surf lifers club. Nice food and cold beer. The hotel at the moment doesnt offer a restaurant from what I can see. But the rooms clean and comfortable. Id say here again so much to see and do around here.

  Close to perfect

  For a couple of nights away from home, this hotel was perfect. In an awesome location,with views over the Tweed River with Harrower Island in the ocean in the far ground,I loved watching my cloudy,rainy sunny patches. So close to shops and restaraunts - and the Flying Elephany cafe which made great coffee. The room was clean - I really can't complain about anything slightly old or creepy - even the shower was a lovely experience. There was a fridge, kettle,tea coffee, toiletries. The two bedside lamps worked, as did the remote controls t the TV and AC (not that I needed it). The reception staff were friendly - thank you so much. The only downside was the smell of cigarette smoke that wafted in through my verandah door whenever one of my neighbours was smoking - then I had to close the door. It was a shame, but it wasn't hot weather. I guess I was in a non smoking room right next to the smoking section. Highly recommend this place. Loved it.
