  Great, caring hospitality

  As already stated in past reviews, Ralph and Latizia are exceptional hosts. From our arrival to our departure, and indeed, to the airport as we flew home and beyond, their consideration for us was exemplary. Our room was possibly a tiny bit dated, but wonderfully comfortable. Dinner on 2 occasions was superlative, Latizia is an accomplished cook. We drank delicious wines, in fact the best that we had during our 3 week tour of the North Island. I cannot recommend Greenmantle enough.

  Just Perfect

  Our stay at Paraparaumu was a lovely surprise on all fronts. Firstly Ralph and Leticia our hosts were the best we encountered on our month tour of New Zealand. Ralphs local knowledge was excellent and he went the extra mile to arrange restaurants and taxis. Letizia was a magician in the kitchen and a delight to chat with at their 6.45pm bubbly aperitif. The Estate itself was set in lovely gardens with extensive woodland walks to the rear of the property. For those of you with a helicopter there is also a helipad. The pool and hot-tub were well used by us as well and a nice addition to this secluded personal boutique hotel. The Kapiti coast is not advertised as a top spot to visit while in NZ but we were pleasantly surprised and the Bird sanctuary Island is a must. Greenmantle Estates is simply Just Perfect

  Perfect spot

  My husband and I stayed at The Greenmantle a few days ago. We just had two nights as travelling onward to Wellington and then to the South Island. Ralph and Leticia were fantastic hosts and great company with great attention to detail. The gardens are large and fabulous even with its own helipad. The pool was great with comfy sun loungers. Tasty breakfast shame dinner no longer available as would have like to have sampled Leticia delicacies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay albeit a bit too short,

  Greenmantle Estate

  My wife and I have just spent two nights at the Greenmantle Estate. It was amazing. Ralf and Leticia are tremendous hosts and we were made to feel like welcome guests in their home. The house and grounds are beautiful but the attention to detail made our stay perfect. Ralf was always able to help and advise us with his knowledge of the Kapiti coast and were area. Thank you.

  Excellent 'country house' style hotel situated within its own rainforest. Great food and service

  I rarely give 5 star reviews so this rating tells how highly we thought of our 3 night stay here. Not a cheap place to stay but the high quality of the hotel, furnishings and excellent service are worth the price. Great breakfast. Also canapes at night. No restaurants within walking distance so need a taxi ride to eat out at night. Lovely gardens to walk around and can also walk up the hill through their own rain forest to a helicopter landing pad. Small swimming pool Excellent service although at times can be a little overbearing. Ralph works very hard to please his customers. We spent 3 weeks in New Zealand using 12 different hotels and Greenmantle was by far the best of our tour. Would definitely stay here again if in this area.
