Great locationWe stayed here for a few days. Location is great. The hotel is right across the mall. The food is ok. The breakfast buffet is ok, too, nothing special. What I like about this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Everyone, especially the room service cleaning personnel are very nice. Thanks Jeffrey and Eve. What I do not like is how we were made to wait to check in. The front desk crew are not very accommodating. Please consider that there is only one available PAL flight from Manila to GenSan and that arrives around 8am. Your guests would go directly to the hotel. We understand that the check in time is 2pm, we are fine with that. But when we asked to be checked in at 2:10pm, we were told that they are still arranging the list and the rooms are not yet ready. That was not okay.

Average Hotel at an Above Average PriceMy wife and I have stayed at this hotel a few times. The first time it was excellent and each time after that has been less so. The first time we stayed there we were able to book a King Suite. Never again has that been available. I contacted them as to why only the Deluxe room and the Executive twin rooms were the only ones that are ever available. It turns out that of the 6 room types they have, they only have 4 of the really good rooms in all of the hotel! (Executive Garden Room/Suite, Executive Veranda Room/Suite). We live here in Gensan and I have asked many people, and NOBODY has ever seen those rooms! I finally had to email the hotel and ask why, to see if they were even real. The hotel describes itself as a "4 Star Luxury Hotel", yet only 4 rooms of the 111 rooms at this hotel are really luxury rooms. They said if I wish to book one of the really good rooms I would have to contact them directly way way in advance to see if any are available. Keep in mind the prices of ALL them rooms are definitely "luxury" prices! This last stay, the "secure internet" did not work, no matter how many times I called and got a new password. So no "secure" business could be conducted via my laptop. The "free" internet did work, and the speed was pretty fast (about 12-14 Mbps). So I could browse the internet and watch my programs. The in-room menu is somewhat limited but the food is good, provided they have what you want. As is ALWAYS the case, I always choose something they say the don't have, and this time was no different. In their defense, this has happened to me in just about every restaurant I have ever eaten at in all of the Philippines. Their breakfast buffet is always good, (was better in the past). I remember when this hotel was built. As with everything new in the Philippines, I fear the Greenleaf will rest on it's laurels just to collect a profit while at the same time fading into obscurity until the next "new" thing comes to town.

Valentine's disasterValentine's day disaster. Food was absolutely disgusting. Luke warm soup, plain, tasteless underdressed salad, the main course left me speechless. Raw undercooked cold meat, stone cold vegetables( really, not even warm), luke warm rice.i sent it back 3 times, my wife sent hers back, my friend's wife sent hers back and each time another plate of garbage was put on the table. No refund,no discount. Just sorry. The funny thing was everyone else was sending their food back. What sort of expensive hotel serves such rubbish food??

No complaints from this AussieStayed for a wedding a the hotel , had a great stay . Booked a room for the day before our arrival as we knew that our flight was arriving to Gen San early and we wanted to be checked in early and not just rock up to the hotel expecting our room to be ready at 7am. . All the staff we encountered were friendly & helpfully .

Such a comfortable place! The room is spacious. The bathroom is clean with hot shower, and basic amenities. The bed is very comfortable with a comforters that provide you with comfort and nice to snuggle with. Food in the restaurant is good-reasonable price too. Highly recommended.
