Really is an oasis of peaceThis resort is reasonably priced at $25 for a double including a decent breakfast. We didn't book ahead which may be reflected in the deal we got. We stayed four nights and used it as a base to walk around the lake. The resort is away from the main hub, with views of thd lake and sits in still rural unspoiled paddy fields with a clear steam running by, in which local people bathe and do their washing. Our rooms where large, bright and clean, and the hot water was actually hot! The resort has lovel,y well established gardens and delightful places to chill out, such as a large fish pond with small pagodas above it where you can eat and dream your day away.

Would love to go back.I visited Nepal with two German and two Swedish friends. One of the Germans had stayed at Greenpeace seven years before and loved it. When we first arrived at Greenpeace, we were amazed --- so beautiful and enchanting. As the next three weeks went by, it got even better. The staff obviously enjoyed making our stay as good as it could be, and the managers, Ram and his lovely wife Bishnu, were eager to help us with any questions we had about the area. It was clear they were proud of Pokhara and wanted us to enjoy it as much as possible. When I returned from a short trek in the mountains, I felt like I was returning home. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay at Greenpeace. The rooms, the views, the grounds, the delicious food. I definitely hope I can return to Nepal and Greenpeace in the future. Such fond memories.

Lakeside serenity with great food!I stayed here 5 days and although it was a decent, comfortable and clean hotel, what I liked best was the giant balcony on the first floor. Every morning I sat outside and they brought me breakfast so I got to feel the morning air with their incredible masala tea and have a view of the lake which became a peaceful routine. Besides the lake, I had a view of the wandering cows and buffalo and women washing their dishes and clothes in the stream just below. It's only a 10 minute walk to town, which is convenient. It also has fantastic food. I think I ordered the cheese momos every day I was there. The room is basic but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was also quite basic but it was clean and inside the room there was a nice table and 2 chairs where I could sit and read when it rained. Also, they have beautiful grounds with outdoor tables in a garden/ zen like space. There's a little bridge, ponds, etc. If you look on their website you'll see it. The staff is helpful and were quick to respond. If you like a quiet environment with a gigantic balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view, meditate or even do yoga, go for it!

Worth stay. Its a very good place to stay in pokhara near the lake. Calm, pleasant, surrounded by paddy fields and mountains. Well connected to the lake side market. You can walk, else there are local buses which stops just next to the resort and taxi also can be arranged very easily through staff. Hotel staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms are neat and clean and comfortable. U get a hot water 24hours specially in winter season when it needs the most. Next to the resort there is a small eating joint which offers a good tasty food in affordable price its a must try. In short Green peace is the place which you can definitely consider for your stay in pokhara...
