  Un hotel económico con BBC

  El problema principal del Green Land es el aire acondicionado: nos alojamos dos veces aquí y ninguna habitación tenía un equipo adecuado de aire acondicionado. Hay que decir, para beneficio del hotel, que cuando nos quejamos por segunda vez, en la segunda estancia, nos dieron una habitación mucho mejor que tenía un equipo de aire acondicionado en condiciones (la 3216, en el piso 32): una habitación de la esquina que vale la pena solicitar por las estupendas vistas que tiene sobre la ciudad). El segundo problema principal son los ascensores, muy lentos (solo hay 4 para los 40 pisos que tiene el hotel). Las habitaciones cuentan con un minibar (los refrescos cuestan 10-12RMB por lata, las botellitas de alcohol, 40, las chocolarinas, 10, la botella de Evian de un litro, 25). También hay hervidora para que te prepares tu té o café. El precio por una habitación estándar es de 860 RMB, por una superior, 980 RMB, por una deluxe, 1200 RMB y por una ejecutiva, 1380 RMB. Canales: BBC, National Geographic, ESPN y HBO. El vestíbulo es pequeño pero apropiado; un gin-tónic o un whisky con soda costaban unos 50 RMB (5.5). Las habitaciones estaban limpias. Las plantas superiores ofrecían una espectaculares vistas de la ciudad. El bufet del desayuno consistía en platos chinos (más el habitual arroz), huevos duros, tostadas, yogures y fruta fresca. No es un hotel sensacional, pero sí adecuado.

  2 night stay

  Stayed as part of a tour and was third of four, large room and bed but bed was quite hard although not a problem to me, the room was maybe a little dated but clean and serviceable, the lighting was poor and maybe my worst gripe, when arriving late in the day with no natural light it became difficult to unpack and sort things out. Breakfast was good with great selection, but could become bit overcrowded if arrived at busy time.

  Functional for a short stay

  Organised as part of a tour. Corner room on 30th floor, spacious and lots of natural light. Able to open windows which was needed because air conditioner was stuck on 26 degrees for the whole time and wouldn't budge despite setting lower temperature on control panel. Bath/shower combo which had a high step, and not very functional as shower managed to flood bathroom despite our best efforts in positioning the (old) shower curtain. Bed mattress was hard. Breakfast offering was best we had in China although beware that seating is limited in peak times and you will have people claim unoccupied chairs on your table. Staff were pleasant to deal with. In summary, ok to stay for a few nights.

  ok but tired.......

  As part of a tour we were booked in at this hotel. I think I would describe it as clean and comfortable but very tired in appearance. There were several steps leading up to the entrance without handholds but a porter available to help with luggage. In the room we played with the light switches to find out what lit what for some time and the safety light on all night by the bathroom, was maybe helpful for those night trips but not so helpful if you were trying to sleep on the side right by it! The shower was not brilliant but after some comments to the right people it was dramatically improved. Breakfast was not a great experience unless you ate Chinese style. The view from the window was of a very depressed area of tall buildings. Only two of the four lifts were working so travelling up and down to the rooms could take some time.

  Very very slow Wi-fi

  My team and I stayed at the Greenland Hotel for 7 nights in August for a business trip. The location of the hotel is good and it is walkable distance to the city center, where you can find lots of restaurants and stores. Taxis are also easy to catch. Food at the Rainbow restaurant was also very nice. The one thing we are all very frustrated about was the Wi-Fi. It was so weak that we could barely send a whatsapp text message! It made our lives at the hotel almost miserable because we couldn't communicate with our family back home. I don't think it is just as, because it seems to happen on every floor. Serious improvement is needed on this matter.
