  I visited Jaffna in August '19 and patronized Green grass restaurant daily for 5days. Therlir food was excellent and we were served by a courteous boy whose name I can't remember. Keep up the good work.

  Worst Experience Ever!

  I had the worst experience ever. The reception staff and other staff (except the girls who is at Valampuri restaurants) were not friendly at all. I stayed for almost 5 days and no one came to the room at least once to clean it. The bathroom was a crap. The water was salty and cannot have a bath using that water. I had to use 4 bottles of water to bath which was an unpleasant experience. The bed sheets and covers were dirty and had stains in it (Im not sure whether they are even washed properly). They switch off the lights in corridors at night so if you planning to go out during night or come in at night please make sure you have a torch at all times! The place is not clean at all. They do not offer basic amenities like tooth brushes, iron boards or coffee in the standard room. They have one iron per floor and one day in the morning around 8am I went to iron a top and there were plates full of spoilt food on it. The food was all over the ironing table and my friends who stayed in the floor down to me said the same thing about the iron board at there floor. This happened on two other days as well luckily not on iron board but on the sofa set they have in the corridors. Im sure that its not the staff who has done it but at least they can not let people go eat inside rooms. All the food is provided at the Valampuri restaurant and most of the pictures available online are pictures of rooms in their sister hotel Valampuri. However, the food served (again, at Valampuri restaurant) was good. Please see the attached pictures of the unpleasant stay at Green Grass. Do not recommend at all.

  Amazing food and staff!

  We visited the restaurant at Green Grass for lunch and it was simply amazing. The mutton biriyani and Mutton Jaffna rice and curry was a hit. Additionally we ordered palmyrah arrack authentic to the region and manufactured by a local brewery which immediately became one of my personal favorites . A special mention goes to the Operational Manager of Green Grass and Valmampuri, Mr. Vijay, who also served due to the shortage of staff. He is trilingual which heles us to communicate with ease, extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend both Valampuri and Green Grass for accommodation but especially for their authentically prepared Jaffna food.

  Prices for DBL room

  When i reserve the room, it was told me that DBL room charge LKR 3500/=. When i checked out from the room, i was shocked to see the bill that was billed for LKR 4000/=. So please don't cheat customers.

  Dont fall for this scam hotel

  First when i first came here, i made an appointment to know about the prices 2 days back. she promised be the single was 8000 rupees for one night . When i came to clear the bill, it suddenly rose to 25000. This is a typical scam done by the hotel. Dont get fooled. I showed the proof saying they promised me of 8000 but why shifted to 25000. I denied payment. they later agreed on 8000 and said it was a mistake. DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM IN THIS HOTEL. I am a srilankan so i know how the system works.but for foreigners i urge you to be very careful with this hotel and when dealing with the prices.
