  Acogedora estancia

  Fuimos los únicos hospedados en la casa y fue como estar en nuestra casa. Atención muy buena, alojamiento muy agrable ,con habitacion amplia y cómodo, piscina de tamaño y limpieza muy buena. Desayuno increíblemente bueno. Repetiriamos.

  A grown ups hidden oasis in a beautiful, quiet and traditional building

  A wonderful hidden oasis For four days. We felt at home instantly. They arranged pick up from the airport with a lovely big sign, 2 hours and we where in the pool with a fresh juice. The building is beautiful, only three rooms around a central living room. The bed was very comfortable with good cotton bedding. A very grown up space, piece and quite and traditional. There are always a couple of lovely staff on hand for tea or a beer. The Sri Lankan breakfasts where very tasty, different everyday eaten at one table sharing adventures stories with others guests. The casa is walking distance to the main road with a range of non tourist shops, local restaurant a short Tuk Tuk ride away on the beach, Sagans restaurant for local prices and eating with the locals. The beach is a surf beach with restaurants full of western food. Walk further along to the fishing boats and you can help the fisherman pull in the net. A Tuk Tuk to Jungle beach is no more than 400 rupees. Tuk Tuk to Galle is about 250. Try Indian hut for great local food and people. Dont forget the mosquito spray they are besties after 4pm.

  Caretaker had a stinking attitude

  Upon arrival the man who greeted us was too busy watching TV (in which he sat there for 8+ hours) to show any sort of hospitality expected from a hotel. Green Casa is a house that has been re fitted to be a hotel. The house itself is nice, but not much care was taken to give guests a good atmosphere. The pool was filthy, so bad we didn't dare to swim. Went back in to the room we had (as it was awkward with the man watching tv right in the entrance). We decided to turn the TV on in our room, not one channel worked. As we were leaving for dinner in Galle the man told us we had to be back by 10pm and was quite stern about it. Upon checkout the next day, instead of changing the bed sheets they just made the bed ready for the next guests, which made both my partner and I feel sick to our stomachs. I am Australian and my wife is Sri Lankan and it seemed like his attitude towards the fact she is a local meant he didn't have to try and make any sort of effort, glaring at both of us, not smiling the entire time we were there like we had inconvenienced him by having stayed there.

  Great stay with full Galle feels, tucked away in a quiet lane

  We had a great stay at Green Casa. First hand, what caught our attention was the minimalist, gorgeous interiors and high ceiling architecture. Apparently it is a 150 yr old Dutch construction which was renovated to become a rented villa. We had a lovely stay, swam at the backyard pool enjoying our beer. Great location close to Galle Fort.They serve a lovely breakfast which is a mix of traditional sri lankan with your basic egg and toast. Point to note: No lunch or dinner available here. So make sure to eat somewhere before coming back to the villa as it is tucked inside a small alley or you can order in via delivery.

  Terrible service!

  The place is beautiful but the caretaker is useless and has a bad attitude. On arrival we rang the bell and no one answered so we let our selves in and were calling out for someone until he turned up from the back. Didnt offer to take our bags or make sure we were comfortable and proceeded to watch tv in the living room and then went to sleep. In the evening when we came back after dinner he was entertaining some random person in the living room also watching tv. This felt so dodgy it wasnt funny. Some friends joined us for drinks in our room and at 9:45pm he proceeded to tell us that they must leave by 10:30 and that even if we go out we must come by 11:00 which is ridiculous. He cant be dictating terms to us when we are paying good money. After my friend spoke to him sternly he said ok they can stay but we must lock the door so we said fine. In the morning I asked for a cup of coffee, he gave it without milk. When we asked for milk he said well you only asked for coffee, which is ridiculous. Also i dont know when the last time he cleaned the pool was. Definitely not coming back for another stay
