Increible lugar para descansar
Nos encantó este hotel, maravilloso trato del personal, desde la gente de recepción, las chicas de la piscina, y lo mismo la gente del comedor, con Georgios al frente, que es un tipo estupendo. El entorno natural del hotel es precioso con el Egeo en frente, cálido y cristalino, de todos modos que nadie espere arena fina en las playas del Egeo. En la zona de las piscinas tienen unas tumbonas más que cómodas, lo malo que la gente las reserva con la toalla y es complicado conseguir una, quizá en ese sentido si podrían hacer algo y no permitir que la gente las reservase. En cualquier caso repetiríamos sin dudar, nos encantó la gente, la comida y la paz que se respira en este rincón de Grecia, es muy recomendable.

Nice vacation
The hotel is a midsize hotel located in Chanioti with a sand beach just in front of the hotel. We had a family room with 2 rooms with separated balconies with side sea view. The whole area is totally renovated recently and is clean as the stuff is doing a great job. During this period with COVID-19 the stuff is following the directives of the Greek state wearing masks. The beach is nice with crystal waters, with comfortable sun beds. Of course there is in some cases a limitation of findings free umbrellas as they are not equal to the rooms but the stuff is doing a good job by giving you alternatives near the beach umbrellas either in the Olives area or in the pool. All stuff is always with a smile to help. There is a beach bar in the area 100 meters away playing music the whole day but for us it was not annoying. If we decide to visit next year for sure we would choose the 5th floor!

Excellent hotel
We stayed 10 nights in July/August In a family room. Hotel is really very nice, very well renovated with beautiful design Rooms are spacious and comfortable, very clean All is in a nice modern design including the large pool. Beach is a private one, with pebbles, really nice (there are some nicer beaches but this one is worth staying, I.e. if you dont have a car you can spend your holidays there and dont miss much) Service is perfect, everyone really friendly. Everyone also fully complained with all Covid rules, i.e. staff had masks all the time etc. There were some little issues, due to Covid measures, related to dining - sometimes the waiting time was too long and also the organization was bit unclear (not clear where to wait, staff missing) - maybe they could move all the various managers greeting guests to help the staff during peak times . But the situation was not normal this year and in general they managed well. The advantage is the location - at the beach but also in the small vacation town with bars, restaurants etc.

The best option for our family
It is the third time that we choose to stay at Grecotel and it proved it was the best decision considering the Covid situation. We found the hotel completly renovated. The pool is amaizing, the green spaces are a joy an the beach is peacefull and perfect for the kids. We booked a bungalow and it was the perfect choice. It felt like home with the sea an pool as a bonus :). The food was delicious and various and the staff was great, very kind, nice, always smiling (under the masks). Special thanks to Elena, a lovely young girl, she made our lunches just perfect. We had lunch a la carte every day and I must say we tried almost everything on the meniu and they were all delicious. We felt safe an relaxed for all our stay. The only bad thing was that we had to leave back home :). Thank you Grecotel for our holiday and we will be back for sure!

Good hotel, it are there options for families?
The hotel itself looks good, the facilities are take care of and the staff is really friendly but there are several things that would make me not go there again: - the best rooms, the bungalows at the lawn are beautiful but too small for a family with one kid. It felt cramped and the extra bed was just too hard. Some friends with two kids could not really it their things in the hotel - the pool was good, the water was too hot during the day, but thats not their fault, but still, it felt like a soup. Also it wasnt really clean.. too many things floating around - the lifeguards were really attentive and were not there to police us, but to help and make us feel safe. Really good! - the staff was really friendly, but they were to stressed busy around, service took long time and they seemed unprepared ( the maitre hovering around not doing anything and the service staff running like crazy and not keeping up...), so wine service took long, too less people in the Buffett... - many things that were saving money for them were disguised as ecological and green initiatives, but they still used plastic straws, packen in plastic!!! - the live music in the lobby went up until really late and the kids did not go to sleep by time because of that. Positive was the beach, it was nice and great for kids. Anastasia was a great hotel host and a great animator in the pool. The food was OK but nothing special. Near the hotel, you can do great runs and also there is a town to shop souvenirs and emergencies you might need.
