  "Stoned" in Ohrid

  Stayed here three nights in June, 2017 and enjoyed exploring the area. Pavel is a good host and offered chilled white wine upon our arrival. He also helped with our luggage and parking, maps, and pointed out possible sites to see. Had a hard time finding the place because it's off a pedestrian area and down some steps below a narrow hilltop street. Not really an easy place for older people or the disabled. Our apartment had a lovely large balcony with table and chairs, a small frig, coffee pot and plants around us looking over the houses below and the lake. Medium size bedroom with comfortable bed, double comforter/duvets, small flat screen TV (English news stations), small bathroom but nice walk-in shower. The entryway and our rooms had stone floors and walls. The communal kitchen appeared to have all the necessities although we only used a couple of utensils. The place was very clean. I would recommend this pleasant place to anyone traveling to Ohrid who is adept at hills and stairs.

  Favorite Place in Macedonia

  This was our favorite place we stayed in on our entire (Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia) vacation. The house is beautiful and charming, the view unbeatable, and the host welcoming and lovely. Not to mention amazingly comfortable beds, and our super cool private terrace. Extremely well located, just a short (albeit steep), 5 minute walk to the centre and the beach. Highly recommend!

  Amazing view, excellent location, great find in Old Town

  We stayed here for a long weekend in June. I highly recommend this place!! Pluses: - Jaw-dropping views of Lake Ohrid - Private terraces with fireplace, table, loungers - In-room fridge, tea & coffee, kettle - Right in Old Town - Quiet, secure, clean - Free wifi - Incredibly friendly owner, who offered us a welcome glass of wine- and gave us an entire liter of local wine - Excellent price point for such a great property - Shared kitchenette with stove, pans, cutlery, plates, cups, etc to use - Walking distance to virtually everything you want to see and do in Lake Ohrid Minuses: - Be aware that the "kitchenette" is NOT in your room. It's a shared kitchen in the lobby - The views are amazing because it's up a very big hill, so you've been warned - The property is literally carved out of a rock hillside. The en suite baths are floor-to-ceiling rock, and a mildewy environment is easily created if you don't prop the bathroom door open - The rock bathrooms are odd, and a bit rustic, if that sort of thing bothers you Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough!!

  one of my favourite places

  stayed here twice now and loved every minute of it, dont stay here if you want luxury but if you want lovely people and a taste of macedonia this is the place, pavel and his son are super hosts and lovely people, always a glass of wine on arrival, nothing is too much trouble for them, will be back here next year again

  Great accommodation

  We stayed in room 1 and were very pleased. Room came with a fridge and large private terrace with grill. Room was clean, with a decent (hot and powerful) shower. Views of lake Ohrid were ideallic withy lots of amenities close by, closest shop and restaurant less than 5 minutes walk, a nice beach (kaneo) about 5 minutes and the town about 5 minutes. Picture attached is the view from the private terrace :) Friendly staff and we would stay again.
