    Not worth the billing hassle

    I have visited GWL 4 times in the last 2 years and every time I have a billing issue. Either Im overcharged for the dining vouchers or my food credits arent out in, etc. this time was a doozy.. At check in they couldnt put a card on file so it took 30 minutes to check in. I was told it was resolved. At check out I confirmed with the front desk it was taken care of. A few days later I received an email from Kailee Merrills from the resort and says I am delinquent on my bill. Then a day later she threatens to send to collections. I told her to charge the card that was on file for my other room (I had 2 rooms this trip) but first, I wanted to know what she was going to do to fix the situation because I am upset about the way she she threatened me when I had repeatedly checked to make sure the issue was resolved. She simply charged my card and never responded. Extremely poor customer service and I spent over a thousand there over 2 days plus Im a repeat customer and visited during a pandemic to help GWL stay afloat. I will never return again because its not worth the hassle.

    Today is the worse I truly surprised about my over night stay not enough rags or towels the workers are not happy wasnt when I walk through the door i call for more rags and towels no answer at front desk I had to walk down a really long hall way to get to the front desk my second call was for more soap no answer I had to call from my cell phone I will never come back my daughter want to come with her friends for her 14th birthday its 5 of them I was told by some one that work there Im the lady with the 20 kids

    Great Christmas Trip With The Grandkids

    . We surprised our three grandchildren (ages 14, 11 & 9) this year with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge over the Christmas Holiday and they had a blast. The arrival and check in process was easy and great customer service. Our room, A fireplace loft suite was a great set up and adequate space for our family. The property was lovely and clean and we all had a great time enjoying the water part during our stay. We will definitely return. Our grandson wants to return during the summer so that he can check out the outdoor pool as well. The only two negatives was that we thought the food prices on property were way to expensive for a family of five. I think making pricing more reasonable would encourage guests to eat on property. We did; however, order from the Huntman's Grill for one of our meals and felt their pricing was reasonable and the portions quite large. The other negative is that I would like to see more staff enforcing kids not running as the floors did become quite slippery (which is understandable for a water park). I saw many kids running from place to place and cringed as I thought they may slip and get hurt. All in all we had a wonderful trip and can't wait to go back. Definitely would recommend a visit for friends and family.

    Do NOT Waste Your Money Here

    Disappointed all around. As I sit up unable to sleep do to the continuous running and slamming above us at 12:08 am, I am persuaded to let others know that it would be a waste of money to invest in a family trip here. Making the decision to travel during the pandemic was very carefully thought out. The Great Wolf Lodge located in Williamsburg stated that they meet or exceed CDC guidelines. This helped comfort us in selecting to stay for a week here. We have a room with a king bed and 2 queen beds with living area. The more expensive selection, to ensure comfort, even though it is only 2 adults and a small child. Unfortunately, from entry of the room I was not pleased. Prepared to re-clean due to Covid, I felt the need to go above and beyond due to the conditions observed. Stains on the carpet, crumbs still on the table and chairs, peeling/cracked toilet seat, crack/hole in tub, and musky odor. I spent a great deal of time shopping at the Walmart very close by for materials to make it more comfortable to stay. I had to create a cover for the toilet seat from a plastic drop cloth. Purchase a liner for the tub and thoroughly/continuously bleach it. Use cleaner/spray to disinfect the entire space. Thankfully I brought my own sheets. They have a thin mattress pad covered by a flat sheet, layered with a thin blanket, followed by another flat sheet. Observing the cleaning carts, they are using brooms/dusters that are filthy! I have no idea why they think it could be sanitary using them from room to room. Room service requires numerous calls to receive the necessities such as towels or an iron. The most disturbing is the greed and total neglect this place has for Covid restrictions. It is impossible to maintain a safe distance with the amount of people here. In addition, the trauma of going to a water park, which is the main reason this place is booked. It is beyond capacity and very scary because masks are not required while in the area. The staff did not clean any tube, chair, or ride after use!! I saw ONE person wiping the TOP of the trashcans. There are no people to direct anyone for a safe distance, nor close an area due to capacity. The children run around without adult supervision. The icing on the cake is that it is now 12:25 am and I am still enduring the rolling thunder above my head as I type. The front desk said that they could not say anything until after 11pm. Other patrons were also complaining of the same noise as we addressed it already with the ignorant customers who made no changes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! The staff needs competent, caring, professional leadership to understand what it means to deal with a family atmosphere where ALL are respected in terms of comfort. They should have remained closed until they staff with the right people to make sure the experience that Great Wolf Lodge was known for is evident. This is no more than a motel booking at a low class waterpark.

    Needs Renovations

    My family visited Great Wolf Lodge for my grandsons birthday. We were in the two bedroom suite on the first floor. The walls are paper thin. We could every foot step above us and all the hall way noise. The grizzly bear suite has two bedroom. It advertised three queen beds but they appeared to be full sized beds. The bathrooms need renovations. And the carpeting thought out needs to be replaced in the hallways. The water Park was fun. There are also bowling alley, laxer tag and arcade for kids.
