Very HelpfulWe decided Glen Innes would be a good stop over driving Brisbane to the Hunter Vallryppey. I called a couple of hours before arriving to see if a family of 5 could squeeze in and owner Tony was so helpful! 5 clean beds sorted! He even let the kids use the pool table while the bar was closed on Boxing Day!

All round great country pubWas trying to avoid "Another Motel" and was very pleasantly surprised by the Great Central. The Pub has been recast into a cafe and restaurant with Bar attached. The original accommodation upstairs is clean, tidy and very comfortable. There is a communal living and kitchen area (Continental B'fast provided) and access to the huge old balcony. Service was brilliant and very helpful. A pleasant change from the 60's and 70's motel on the highway, it's quiet, comfortable, in the centre of town and has heaps of charm and character. Will be back.

Conference NearbyBusy renovating, the host, Tony, was friendly and most accommodating. The room was spacious without air-conditioning as this is not needed in the town, but a fan was available. There was a central bathroom with two showers and a separate toilet and bath for use by all. Built in the 1800s. Breakfast was available and a lounge and TV for all guests

Support your community!Tonight we ordered takeaway from a hotel in our town to help support them through the Covid-19 era. Got home delivery for an extra $5, because although it is only on the next block from us, its probably someones job we are helping ( real reason: we can stay in our P.Js ) Mixed into my wish to support Tony Hill and his staff in his business,is the fact that he was totally there for our community throughout the recent fire season. He fed us two awesome meals a day plus snacks ( up to 120 staff) at the Fire Control Centre for weeks, no food requirement being too hard. His team also stepped up to cover Base Camp (250+) and fireground meal packs for months. Our catering was so awesome it became known among our visitors as the 5 Kg Deployment Thankyou Tony! Here is Waynes choice tonight Bangers and Mash Always his favourite I did Roast Beef and baked veggies- no photo. I ate it Support your locals or you might not have any later!

Great value, in the middle of town with everything nearbyI chose this place because it came up on one of those hotel booking websites with a low price, it was close to the coach stop, and it was also very central to the shops in town. It ended up being better than I expected. The room was small but the bed was comfortable, the shower and toilet down the hall were quite reasonable, and the lounge room was nice to relax in while watching TV with some pretty couches. It was nice to have cereal available in the morning when I woke up, and we were also allowed to use the fridge and kettle and other facilities if needed. Very pleasant, everything I needed, quite satisfied.
