  Splendid isolation

  Lovely lodge located in isolated splendour on its own. You can only check in from 3pm to 6pm and there is currently no restaurant, the only places for dinner are located in Arthurs Pass a good 24 minutes away. It does come with a continental breakfast in the morning. Spectacular scenery all round. To wake up to such amazing beauty is a joy in itself. It would have been amazing to spend a couple of days exploring the area but unfortunately we were only passing through for one night. The rooms are large and decorated in a rustic style. Wi-Fi is available but very patchy but anyway you didn't come here to be online all the time! The isolation and disconnect from the world is priceless.

  Amazing views and gorgeous rooms

  Stayed here after visiting Arthurs Pass for one night. The rooms were huge and spotlessly clean. The views from our bedrooms were incredible with the mountain backdrop and the star gazing at night was beautiful. Keep in mind that this is a b&b so there is no restaurant or bar but we knew that so ate at the hotel a 15 minute lovely drive away. Continual Breakfast was nice with a good choice of bread for toast and fruit and coffee. A couple of things probably could have been improved - check in is quite strict from 3pm-6pm - would have been great if we could have checked in later and upstairs in the lounge there were some big flies around but I know this is hard to stop! Overall would highly recommend this b&b.

  Lovely building and location

  About 20 mins drive from Arthur's Pass, but in a much more spectacular location. Beautiful view, spotless huge rooms with all mod cons and more. A well-appointed communal kitchen (remeber to stock up before coming).

  High class B&B in spectacular surroundings

  Fantastic room and views. Idilic surroundings. Great service from the management when we were trying to organise emergency flights back to the UK. Little or no mobile coverage in the area so their help was critical in allowing us to contact the airline and move our flights, especialy as it took 4.5 hrs on their personal extended range mobile phone.

  True Back country experience in Lucury

  Fantastic Hosts That would do anything to help, including leaving us to do our own thing!! Big roaring fire in the Lounge, and beautifully designed rooms, all in an amazing setting. The countryside is just plain breathtaking- no other way to describe it really. Well be back there again
