  Lovely service

  The staff has been extra nice during our stay. The hotel has a typical "Sued Tyrol - style". I think it has been recently renewed, and though the wellness area is quite small it has everything you need. Perfect location as well

  A notch below a 4 star

  We have done a few of these Wellness hotels mainly in Austria and on a comparative basis this one was a bit below our expectations. On a plus side the hotel organises nice walks and for skiing there is a bus bringing you every day to a different resort. You need to take account of 30 minutes to 1h15 with the bus, dependent on the location. The bus is meant to pick you up at the hotel at 8h30, but this is not a bus from the hotel, so we waited each day at least 20 Minutes before being picked up. The spa is OK, not the most modern, and smaller than average. The rooms are OK, but have seen bigger, and you better sleep with the windows closed if you do not want to hear the constant noise of the motorway in the valley. Food was good one night, but other nights quite "heavy" German/Austrian style food and not very refined. Waiters are very nice and service is excellent. Owner comes every day at the end of your dinner with the same introduction: "Hat es geschmakt?". Came across as a bit robotic and not willing to hear too much our story of the day as had to move on to the next table with "Hat es geschmakt?". Area is nice, nature, nice walks also in Summer, but we would not return to this hotel, despite the fact that the price was very reasonable.

  unexpected unswer

  i have booked a junior suite and as there was written in the hotel condition " pet friendly " whith unexpected surprise , wenn i called the owner answer me in an unapproprietely way , "dogs are not allowed" . you have to cancel your reservation .

  Cosy hotel

  Nice hotel in South Tyrol style. Very friendly staff, wonderfull terrace and nearly perfect restaurant! Very well located in the centre of this beautiful region: many possibilities for hiking, biking and visiting nice places (Klausen, Brixen, Bozen, etc.)!

  Wonderful hotel, and great location to explore South Tirol!

  We highly recommend Stephanshof hotel, and we had a very pleasant 1-week stay. We had a panorama suite which is a new wing of the hotel, with private sauna and jacuzzi. The suite is beautiful, spacious with a fantastic view of the valley. The food and service are excellent. The spa is also exceptional, I had a body wrap in a water bed at very reasonable prices. The staff are very attentive to details and offered me English menus and translated the hotel newspaper into English as well, which I appreciate as almost all guests are Italian or German. We also liked the peacefulness of Villanders, a small town, with a lot to offer, including a 3,000-year-old mine and archaeological park with 10,000 years of history. Without a car, we easily got to many places with the public transport which you can access for free with the Klausencard, and the hotel gives very helpful recommendations, including a fantastic biking route. We definitely want to come back!
