Not what we expectedThe pictures on the website do not accurately portray the actual condition of the lodge or rooms. The rooms are very old dated, thin towels and poorly equipped. The neighborhood that you drive through to reach the lodge is not good. The room was clean. The woman who owns the lodge is very pleasant. However, I would not return here on future visits to the area

ClassicJeffrey and Breanna the innkeeper are amazing. Attentive without being overbearing and a wealth of information on the area. The inn is funky and cool. It is loaded with all types of whimsical items many from the innkeepers travels, it is cozy and comfortable. Our room was large and comfortable and clean. It it very close to downtown so getting out and about was easy. The breakfast was cooked to order, excellent and filling. This is not a Hotel but a Mom & Pop classic B&B, with details personalized to make you feel like you are staying at a friends place. The location is minutes from the BR Parkway, after 45 years the neighborhood has built up around this ranch style hotel, but its nestled in a beautiful valley with a roaring creek, fire pit, and the NC mountains make this place just relaxing and inviting. We will definitely go back on our next trip to the area.

I'll be back!We were looking for a one day getaway close to home for our 37th anniversary and found this interesting looking place on the internet - and what a find it was!!! We managed to get checked in a bit early and with time to kill before venturing into Waynesville for dinner, we sat out on the huge wrap around porch with our favorite wine enjoying the sound the nearby rushing creek while taking in the view of the nearby mountains. We were in room #10, the smallest and most cozy of all with french doors opening to the porch - it was fantastic! Jeffrey and Brie are warm & welcoming hosts and Jeffrey whips up a gourmet breakfast to get the day started. I'll take this opportunity to put in a word for The Chef's Table in Waynesville for some fine dining at a great price. @Jeffrey & Brie - I'll be back!

Great Unique LodgeMy wife and 15 year old son just completed a weekend stay. We decided to try the Grandview while we visited our daughter at Western Carolina University. It is an eclectic older lodge. We stayed in the Eagles Nest room. It was very clean and had an outside entrance from a porch. We enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack chairs outside the door. The owners were very friendly and customer focused. The lodge is a bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were wonderful! We also enjoyed hanging out at the lodge with our daughter. Very comfortable place just to hang. It is also located very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend!

We Felt Very WelcomeWe can't say enough about our hosts, Brianna and Jeffrey. They are warm welcoming people who really care about their guests. We stayed in the Delanny room which had a very comfortable king bed, private bath and fireplace. Breakfast was freshly made each morning with farm to table ingredients. Especially good and healthy was the hand pressed apple juice. The lodge is close to some great restaurants, hiking trails and Ashville. You won't be disappointed if you stay at the Grandview Lodge.
