  We are spending several nights here while waiting to close on our next home. I cannot possibly say enough nice things about this place. The manager, Peggy, is so accommodating and friendly, as are all the front desk people we have met. It is so clean and very comfortable, has nice touches like shampoo, etc. from Bath and Body Works, a mini-fridge and microwave and a guest laundry, the pool and spa are spacious and beautiful and the GrandStay is located in a very convenient location. A few of the places we walk to are the downtown, the library, the beach, the Dairy Queen, the liqour store (!) and Lakeside Restaurant and Bar. We feel blessed to spend some of our 'homeless' nights here at the GrandStay!

  Nice and cozy

  I visited Glenwood for a business trip and stayed for a night. I arrived late in the evening and the receptionist was friendly and inviting, even at that time of night. My room was big, but cozy and nicely decorated. The hotel is newer so everything is new and up to date. There is a good variety to TV channels and free Wi-fi. The climate control in the room is a standard hotel room a/c and heat unit, not central air. The unit has an option for a constant fan, so for those who like to sleep with the noise of a fan, this place has you covered. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. I usually don't sleep well in hotels but I slept well here. The bathroom was big and spacious. The shampoo and conditioner provided in the bathroom are in small plastic bottles and like most hotel toiletries, are heavily fragranced. So, if you are sensitive to fragrance, bring your own soap. The bathroom counter top was large with a lot of room for my makeup, they even supply a full sized hair dryer. I really enjoyed the black washcloth with "Makeup" embroidered on it. A genius idea! I always feel so bad for washing my makeup off with those nice white cloths, but this time I didn't have to worry! When I checked out the next morning, the receptionists were very sweet and asked how I slept and made sure I went to go get breakfast. They offered a great variety of options like cold cereal, donuts, bagels, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and fruit. Overall, it was an excellent stay and would recommend to friends and family.

  Really Nice!

  Front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Room was large and sparkling clean, great rate!. Only two stories, no elevator FYI. Great breakfast, above average. Parking lot a bit cramped. Will return if in area!

  Fantastic Experience, Fantastic Hotel

  Fantastic hotel. After attending a wedding in Minneapolis, I brought my wife and my daughter's family to Glenwood to introduce them to my family in Glenwood. First time for many of the grandchildren to experience Minnesota winter and Glenwood hospitality. Well, Peggy, her instant smile and her staff did not disappoint. From the first meeting, my grandchildren wanted to know if she was a relative. They could not believe the hospitality, genuine concern for our comfort and the readiness to make each hour and day memorable. There was little difference between Peggy, her staff and the enjoyment that she provided and the happiness and joy of my family as we visited my Minnesota family. Thank you Peggy!!

  Very Accommodating

  We had a Saturday reservation and needed to check in early due to my sons wedding being at 4. At noon we stopped by to see if we could check in. Our room wasnt clean yet but the housekeeper cleaned it right away. Very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for a great stay. Beds are comfortable with comfy pillows, fluffy towels and hot shower!! Thanks again!
