  I stay at this hotel for work somewhat often. It may claim to be 5 star, but it is China. - rooms are moderately clean. Decently stocked with your toiletries, etc. there are a couple of English TV stations. The air conditioning is basically on or off. You pick your fan speed, but the "temperature setting" is worthless. It's basically centrally controlled temperature, hot during the day cold at night. - there is wireless throughout the hotel, with good speed. - fitness center is a joke. For a new hotel, when it rained today, they had buckets catching the water scatter throughout the building. The floors are already pealing up due to water damage. The treadmills are ok, in that they work, with out the belt skipping. The one bike has a pedal that is cross threaded, rendering it useless. Good selections of dumbells, once you get to higher weights. Not much on the low end. The 'heated pool' still has no water in it. I don't know where the spa that is advertised is located in that building. - restaurants have pretty good food. Speedy, just like a five star hotel normally is for what you get. Breakfast buffet has a good spread. Dinner is expensive but tasty. And every time I have been here, there has been a dog that barks incessantly down below on the street. This is my third time here, and every time that dog is barking pretty much non-stop.

  Above Chinese standard hotel

  This is an above Chinese Standard hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable. I wouldnt say its cozy but more than adequate for the price. Front desk can usually speak English. Restaurant is okay, buffet usually at meal times, menu other times. Theres a couple western items on the menu that are pretty good. Wifi is strong enough to actually get some work done! Thats a huge plus in China. A lot of hotels have horrible wifi. Good for a business trip.

  Façade of a business hotel

  This looks like a business hotel, but it really isn't that. The lobby is fancy enough - not terribly attractive, or filled with anything one would like to do, but what one expects of a business hotel - and the rooms are quite good. All but one of the staff spoke absolutely no English, however (and the remaining one spoke just a little), and no-one was very nice; they were also inflexible enough about their policies that I had to pay $194 for a reservation I had made for a wrong date (and only realized my mistake after the date had passed). The hotel is also in an ugly area and not near either the train stations or the airport. I recommend finding somewhere else to stay.
