  Wow !!!!

  This was the third hotel during our escorted tour of China. Wow, room wonderful but the dinner buffet at the downstairs restaurant is EXCELLENT !! I took pictures of the food!! It tasted Exquisite !! Beautiful, the dessert actually brought tears to my eyes. The sea food !!! Oh my Goodness !! I ate something that looked like a small horseshoe crab, never seen shrimp like it before, it was exquisite !!! I have eaten at five star restaurants in Houston but this will be a warm memory for years. If you are lucky enough to stay here DO dinner in the hotel !! As I was staying with an escorted tour we received a discount on the meal and everything included totaled 25 USD. I could never enjoy this caliber of dinning for so low a cost in Houston. I have to ask myself, is it terrible to fly 14 hours just to dine at a hotel restaurant ??? Because I think I'm addicted.

  Not at all 5 star

  This hotel isn't 5 star by Chinese standards. Asked for "real" non smoking. Got a room with an ashtray and ashtrays in the hall. People smoked every where in hotel; bar, hallways, restaurant. You have to pay $10 US / day for the pool. Beds hard as rocks. Room design abysmal. I didn't want to sit on any of the furniture because it felt and looked dirty. Mold in shower. Food in restaurant was atrocious. I would never stay there again.

  Wonderful resort to relax

  We stayed at this property for 3 nights to get away from the city and we are glad we did. It's right in front of the Yangcheng lake. The rooms are huge and all the lake front rooms have a balcony that you can sit outside, relax and soak in the view. The only negative is there are often small motorboats crossing the lake and can be a bit noisy. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. I left my iPad in the room and they called and shipped it back to me at no charge. You will need a car to get around since there are no hotel shuttle and public transport to the hotel. But if you are looking for a secluded place in front of a lake to unwind at a relatively cheap rate, you will not regret for coming to this hotel.

  Good Deal

  For s short vacation escape from Shanghai, this is perfect. We bought Groupon at 578 RMB, we do can enjoy 3000 RMB worth of services. Metropark is a chain in China and Hongkong under the CTS management. Therefore, quality of Hotel and Services can be trusted. As the location is in the middle of The Lake, the environment is just marvellous.

  Middle of nowhere

  This hotel truly is in the middle of nowhere. I just stayed here as it is the closest one to my factory and regretted not staying in an international hotel downtown. There is absolutely nothing to do in the vicinity, I went jogging around and could only see a very small village. The tiny gym was unusable. There's nothing to keep you entertained on the premises. It is catering to Chinese tourists, meaning that even for breakfast there was only Chinese food. I don't know if I would have gotten by if I didn't speak Chinese. Nice view and good food for dinner, though.
